For the last four years, I have researched every aspect of this self-portrait to confirm its artist identity!! Today, I can confirm the artist of this self-portrait, it is ROY FOX LICHTENSTEIN!! I was able to match the 1956 signature to the “rather primitive notion of patterned linear repetition”, or unknown markings (which look like Hebrew) on the side of an airplane in the RFL’s drawing “AIRPLANE 1961”. Similar markings can be found on the RFL’s TEN DOLLAR BILL 1956 Lithograph...

Watercolor painting of the famous 17th century church of Santa Prisca in Taxco, Mexico, signed at lower right "Carrillo" and dated there 1966. The decorative piece measures 20" by 16" in clean gold frame with blue mat. It is in excellent condition considering that the drawing was made nearly fifty years ago. A PAIR of lithographs, one of a male, another of a woman, the larger work 24" by 17 3/4" inside the mat (28 1/2" by 22 1/4" framed), the other 19" by 16 3/4" (23 1/2" by 21" framed), both signed in Hebrew in the plate, the larger print numbered 1/50 at lower left in pencil. The works are in black ink though the larger piece exhibits faint blue in the background and light red in the cap. The larger piece has two short edge tears, one at upper left (about 2"), the other at top (about 3/4").

Notice the details of the honeysuckle flower design on the armour. Please refer to the flemish painting in our listing. The honeysuckle design on the middle right side of the photo matches the same design in 17 flemish paintings.

This is a skillfully executed painting on canvas, 9 1/2" by 13" (14 1/2" by 18" in its distressed style white/gold frame), the subject several large ripening pears and apples, a pair of plums in the foreground. At lower left is written "A Mr. Caubert/Souvenir Amical/H. Camus". I believe that's what the names appear to be; more research might reveal the full identity of the artist. To date I cannot match this to a listed name...

The unframed piece, photographed inside the protective shrink wrap in which it was purchased, measures 12" by 8 1/2" and there is a 3" wide mat. The style and subject matter reminds of noted early 20th century artist Edgar Paxson.

Haku Maki produced this “pair” of prints in 1968. The first image is Child. This is the first time Maki produced an image with Child as a theme. Poem 68-52. The second one is his kanji for Water. Poem 68-53. This image was used again in the set of 21 prints he produced for Festive Wine, which was issued in 1969. The colors in both are strikingly beautiful in these images – as they also are as prints. Maki signed each in white ink, something he rarely did...

A fine example of an Abraham Parsell watercolor on organic wafer. The sitter, with brown hair and hazel eyes, is dressed in a black coat and cravat and a white shirt with gold stickpin. The background is done in the multi-color style typical of Parsell's work, as is the sketch on the reverse of the wafer.

The 2 3/8" by 2" sight size miniature is housed in a cast foliate case with a glazed lens on the reverse...

A wonderfully detailed portrait miniature, on organic material, of a woman of substantial means, bearing, and physique. She is posed by a console table, and elegantly attired and bedecked with jewelry and an elaborate dress.

The portrait is signed on the lower right by Reinhold Krauss, a known artist listed in Thieme-Becker's "Artists of the World". Excellent condition with no issues.
