Oil on board painting of trees in a landscape, 11" by 9" in narrow original frame, signed at lower right by listed artist "A. KLUG". The painting is executed in a very impressionist hand, and is quite lovely, but is also very dirty. A professional cleaning would really be well worthwhile investment. The frame being old is showing its age, with losses as seen. The artist is listed in Davenport's dictionary of artists but there does not seem to be much information available on him or her.

A charming watercolor painting of the coastline at Antibes on the French Riviera, 11" by 14 1/2" (16 1/2" by 19 1/4" framed), signed at lower left by artist A. Pinkey and bearing inscription on backing giving the history of the artwork. This work needs some TLC, due to a large rip, unstable and missing paint, and grime......a vintage late 19th century/early 20th century work on canvas, 18" by 30", unframed, apparently unsigned, the subject one of the volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest. The painting should be saved for posterity, but for that to happen, it will require relining, cleaning and inpainting by a professional restorer. If you are a restorer yourself, this would be an ideal acquisition.

A rare prize for the specialist collector of Ohio art, this is an oil on canvas laid on board, the subject an impressionistic sketch of a patch of woodland in greens and browns, 8 5/8" by 11 1/2" plus narrow simple framing, signed in red at lower right "W. M. Darling". Darling is known today as the "Dean of Toledo Artists", a title earned after a lifetime of distinction in painting...

American Impressionist School, ca. 1910. Oil on canvas depicting a woodland pond amid autumn foliage. Though unsigned, the painting is clearly the work of a talented artist and is reminiscent of the work of Julian Alden Weir. The coloring is sophisticated and the perspective and reflections in the water are perfectly accomplished. The canvas remains on its original stretcher. Size: canvas, 30" x 26"; overall, 35-1/2" x 31-1/2".
