The box is fairly light, not quite balsa wood weight but light nevertheless, and is fragrant on the inside where the exposed surface of the hewn wood has not been varnished. Regrettably, we have forgotten the name of this interesting wood...

Venini MAGI vase designed by Rodolfo Dordoni. The vase; done "a doppio incamiciato"; is three layers of color: inner layer is rich gold, next is lattimo, outer layer is a rich transparent brown. The surface of the vase has been worked in two distinct treatments; one side is battuto/inciso and the other acid treated to give a frosted effect. The overall effect is subtle but exciting...

This sterling silver bangle, made of one continuous piece, is completely hand-hammered, with an interesting concave design. It is marked sterling and with an interlocking, angular ‘KG’ to indicate the unidentified maker. The bracelet is very sturdy, which comes from the hammering process, but is flexible enough to slide onto the wrist. The terminals each measure 3/4 inch from top to bottom. The concave side measures a little over 1/2 inch in width...
