Original ball point pen signature of the famous heavyweight boxing champion and cultural icon of the 1920's, JACK DEMPSEY (1895-1983). This signature is on the back of an envelope, which has been clipped, then inserted into a small frame, superimposed on reproduced imagery of the champ in his boxing days. Dempsey was world heavyweight champion from 1919 to 1926. After a long career in the ring, he became a celebrity restaurateur and philanthropist in his later life...

Nice vintage Halloween paper party napkin featuring a cat who has fallen into the apple-bobbing tub, much to the amusement of his friends. Circa 1940s-50s. Condition: excellent. Size: 14" x 14".

This American made beauty was issued by Lionel Trains in 1954 as a replacement for its 394 version of the Rotating Aircraft Beacon. The red paint and black plaque with silver lettering identifies this variation as A which is probably the earliest variant.

Condition is fair with loss of the rotating housing being its chief defect. However, it does have the original lightbulb. Minor paint losses, dust, and dirt have settled on the grand beacon...

Vintage composition Easter chick candy container. The pull out bottom is marked "Made US Zone Germany." Terrific color and overall condition (there's a 1/2" paint flake on the top of the head.) 3-7/8" tall. This will be a nice addition to that special Easter basket. Circa 1948

A 9K yellow gold man's pocket knife fully hallmarked London, England 1950. This classy gift or men's accessory measures 3-1/4 x 7/16", it has thick engine-turned gold panels enclosing the two blades and it is fully hallmarked and dated 1950 with an SJR maker's mark (for S.J. Rose). Each gold cover is hallmarked and the hinges or rivets are covered by the engine turned design. The blades are marked STAINLESS SHEFFIELD and this knife has never been engraved or initialled...

Fun chenille chick in a purple pressed paper Easter Egg. Used as an Easter table decoration, it might also have been used as a candy container for jelly beans or other small candies. Unmarked, probably Japanese, circa 1930's. Great condition, except that some of the paper is unwiding from the wire feet. 2-1/2" tall.

Rare hard plastic Santa Claus in a chimney candy container. Probably made by Rosbro Plastics, circa 1940s-50s. Excellent condition. 5" tall.

This is an assortment of vintage real wood veneers including some rare and exotic woods. Perfect for the cabinetmaker, this group includes: 17 pcs. in original paper sleeve c1930 (Midland Marquetry Company, England, 12 x 6"), 10 pcs. in plastic sleeve (12 x 6"), and a further lot of 10 pieces (12 x 4"). All are numbered (the reference sheet is not present so you'll have to identify them yourself) and most are in excellent condition with no water damage and only a few have short splits...

This is a real favorite of mine. A signed photograph of Rhode Island Reds Hockey team general manager, Lou Pieri(1897-1967). The inscription in ball point pen is a bit indistinct but reads " The Best RI Reds Team Ever Lou Pieri". I'm assuming these are the wives of the players. Pieri was an American basketball and ice hockey executive and coach( see Wikipedia for further information). The 8X10 B&W photo has some creasing and minor wear at the bottom and top edge; the frame shows some wear.

Nice vintage blown glass Christmas ornament in the form of a "Popcorn Head". Condition: near mint, excellent paint and silvering, no cracks or chips. Size: 2".

These wonderful, circa late 1950-early 1960's, TRU-TONE No Roll, school or art crayons manufactured by the Milton Bradley Company of Springfield, Massachusetts, are in mint condition! The crayons are unused and are all original! The box measures 4.5 inches tall x 4.5 inches wide x 1/2 inch deep.
