A 1930's Santa Clause figurine with a composition face and boots, a cotton batting beard, a felt jacket, and a cotton toy bag and pants. He stands on a mica-covered paperboard base. Unmarked, but definitely pre-war Japanese. Some of the Japanese Santas have rather fearsome faces, but this one is quite jolly. At 7" tall, he's also a bit larger than most.

Own the art that inspired Picasso and so many other 20th century artists........the sculpture originating in Africa. This is a later 20th century hand-made piece. Note the painted eyebrow area, the drilled rows of holes, and the interesting surface and color. I don't know the area of the continent from which this came but I suppose a specialist collector could tell immediately. It's a very interesting and decorative piece for the home. Size is approximately 12" by 6 1/2" by 3".

An early Kirk Repousse sterling berry spoon. This late 19th century sterling silver 8-7/8" berry spoon in the Repousse pattern. Stamped only STERLING with a B monogram, this spoon is most likely by Kirk who issued a flatware set in this pattern. It weighs 69.2 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This is a really pretty 6 1/2 inches high Party Goer Virginia Number 1 Jug or Pitcher made by Blue Ridge. The Pitcher is shown on Page 70 of the Frances and John Ruffin Blue Ridge China Today book. The Pitcher is in really good condition with no chips or cracks. It is signed with the Blue Ridge Southern Potteries stamp, but the stamp is blurred. Be sure to see our other Blue Ridge available. A set of three vintage bisque candy containers in the form of a basket and a black cat with a Halloween orange neck ribbon. These would have been filled with small candies and given as party favors. The bottoms are stamped "Japan."

A scarce 4-1/4" vintage late 1930s-mid 1940s Mary Grayo stoppered glass fur perfume bottle with the original label. This company was in business in Monte Carlo for a very short time, from the late 1930s to the mid-1940s. The label has losses but the Mary Grayo name is mostly quite legible; the bottle is molded with a 45 on the bottom. It has remnants of the original perfume, which must have smelled wonderful in its day...

A rare hand signature on a photo card featuring English diminutive turn of the century era dance hall performer DAISY DORMER (1883-1947). In ink, she wrote "Yours Laughingly/Daisy Dormer". Prior to 1901 the slight, dark-haired performer was known as "Dainty Daisy Dimple". She had a pantomime career and performed in one silent movie, "Potted Pantomimes", with Lillian Russell. Later, in 1935, she performed in one talking picture, "City of Beautiful Nonsense"...
