This Gorham sterling tape measure is 1 1/2" in diameter. It is hallmarked Gorham, sterling #18. The tape does move in and out as it should. The release button works as it should. The end of the tape needs a stop.

This 1930s, Art Deco, VIGNY, 2 ounce, Golliwog Perfume Bottle is a rare find! This particular marketing of the very highly sought-after and well-known Paris Vigny Golliwogg perfume, was sold by the famous Fred Harvey stores which dotted the new railroad lines running through the American Southwest.

This 4 inch tall bottle retains the majority of its Fred Harvey price sticker on its base...

Measuring a total length of 26 inches including strings, this fabulous, late 1940's, black character marionette is in wonderful, never-played-with condition!

The puppet, itself, is 14 inches tall and is colorfully dressed in blue and white checked pants, red shoes, orange and whit polka dot shirt, straw hat and red patterned neck scarf.

The puppet's face is composition and bears evidence of some age-related crackling as noted in photos...

A vintage, circa early 1930's original photograph of early screen actress and Hollywood socialite Marion Davies (1897-1961), bearing the embossed stamp of the photographer at right lower corner, and a stamp from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer on reverse. The piece measures 12 1/2" by 9 1/2" inside the red mat and 21" by 17" framed. Bull was a prominent portrait and still photographer with the Hollywood studios, head of MGM's stills department for 40 years...

Old Aunt Jemima recipe box in original condition. The inside bottom is marked "Fosta Product/Made In U.S.A." Very nice condition, the back of the lid has some scratching. 5.25" x 3.75" x 3.75".

Chinese carved Rosewood Display Stand, dark brown dense heavy wood and nicely polished and aged with time, ca. 1940's, 5 1/8" diameter inside the top rim, 1 7/8" high, 6 1/4" wide-maximum width, some old scratches and stains in the wood, small piece glued 1" wide scroll area on the bottom.

Very hard to find large candy tin, with a great caricatures of a Black bell Boy playing the saxophone. There is a fair bit of wear to the tin, however it is a survivor and there are not many around now. Tin measures approx - 10" in Diameter and 3.4" Deep

Measuring just barely 6 inches in length, this fabulous example of 1920's folk art and hand craftsmanship exemplifies the stereotypical Mammy of the early 20th century.

Constructed with care and skill, Mammy's floral dress, white apron and white under-pantaloons were neatly machine stitched. Her facial features--- eye brows, eyes, nose, and lips --- are hand-stitched with embroidery thread. She has yarn-constructed black curls peeking out from under her red and white polka dot head scarf...

Measuring 13 inches in height, this vintage 1930's, Mammy Bottle Doll is in lovely condition, with nicely detailed clothing and a very darling face! Mammy bottle dolls were constructed to be quite functional; they were used as doorstops back in the day. Their sand-filled bottles added enough weight to readily keep that door in place.

This mammy's cute face is completely hand-stitched and is accented by original celluloid hoop earrings...

Fire King Sapphire Blue Philbe Juice Saver Deep Dish Pie Plate. 10 1/4 inches wide. There is some ware on the base of the dish. It has 2 popped bubbles on the rim which are caused in the making of the dish and does not affect the usage. In very good condition.

Offered is an absolutely wonderful, original, 1930s watercolor portrait of a young "Black Shoe Shine Boy", a figure quite reflective of one aspect of African-American cultural history, as the iconic "shoe-shine boy (or man)" was so very frequently seen on city street corners plying a meager living during the first half of the 20th century...

A fantastic Old target game with great caricatures. Original Gun which fires a cork in perfect working order. The only issue is where the target stand has been put into the slots so many times, the corners are starting to fray a bit and make it difficult to slot the targets in the holes (This game I suspect will be more as display then playing) but the slots could be widened a bit if requited. Great hard to find game.

Circa 1940's. Made by McKee glass. It does have roughness on the cone. The rest of the reamer is in good condition.

This story is a much-beloved children's classic written in the early 1900's by Englishwoman, Helen Bannerman, for her two daughters while they lived in India. Sambo, in the original Bannerman tale, was an Indian boy and not an African-American child...

This is a really great turquoise Fiesta 7 inch diameter Potter's plate advertising the 1939 Worlds Fair, made by Homer Laughlin Co. On the front of the plate is a design of a potter at work. On the back is stamped JOINT EXHIBIT of CAPITAL AND LABOR - The AMERICAN POTTER - NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939. This Plate is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The original paint on the back does have some variation in color which was done in the making. We guarantee items to be as described...

Really nice look with plenty of age. This would hang on the kitchen wall and you can put a pencil/pen through one of the hands and the paper would be stuck to apron. Someone has some point has stuck an old kitchen related card to it I would say. There is crack running through, near the top of the apron, but nothing comes away and seems to have been repaired many years ago...

Very nice metal cigarette rolling machine with Black Man smoking Wearing a Fez hat, engraved on it.

Outstanding antique German snowman Christmas candy container. We've had many vintage Christmas candy containers, but never this design. The entire papier-mache container is covered with red and white chenille. The snowman straddles the container, making a sort of basket handle. His black eyes are glass and his nose is composition. The inside of the basket is marked "Germany."

Vintage lithographed tin Halloween pan noisemaker, decorated in green, black, white and orange. The decorations include a witch, a ghost and a skeleton around a cauldron. The edges are decorated with jack o'lanterns, owls, bats and black cats. Marked "US Metal Toy Mfg. Co. Made In U.S.A." Very nice condition, some scratching where metal clappers hit against pan Circa 1940s. 7-7/8" long.

A delightful bisque figure of a skiing Santa Claus carrying a cloth sack on his back. The paperboard skis are enhanced with glittery mica snow. The bottom is stamped "Made in Japan."
