The front of the USAF Air crew member wing design depicts an eagle carrying arrows and olive brances in its talons. The center of the Air Crew Member design is necely detailed and has light wear on some of the highlights from handling. The front of the wings have a dark grey6 patina. The backside has an overall dark tarnished finish. It is hallmarked Sterling in raised letters and has a double clutch backs attaching pins.Circa 1944-1945

Nice Survivor of Box and Bottle of Polish with Black Americana Graphics on it, cleaning the shoe. there is still dried white powder remaining (may try and remove before shipping if required). An unusual grouping of eight vintage 1940s moulded and hand painted hard rubber character figures. We haven't been able to identify the series or origin of this set (can you help?), and the largest, Dumbo, measures 2-1/4 x 2-1/2". Each has handpainted highlights in red and yellow and four have black painted shoes. This set includes the Mad Hatter, the Rabbit, Gepetto, Donald Duck, Dumbo, rabbit with heart, Red Queen, and Alice...

Measuring just 4.5" wide x 5.5" long, this very rarely found, circa 1940's, metal mechanical toy features the beloved Golliwogg character!

Unmarked, this toy is in very good condition with tiny superficial surface scratches wherever metal rubs metal during toy movement...

A Bunnykins Sheltering Under the Umbrella & Holding Hat and Coat egg cup style 2 footed 1937-1953. This scarce 2-1/2" eggcup was made by Royal Doulton, England and it is the style 2 footed version with the mark in use from 1937-53. It appears to be unused and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs other than a few tiny scrapes to the red overalls on the Hat & Coat side. All condition issues are noted...

Measuring approximately 23 inches high X 18 inches wide, this heavy cardboard restaurant menu from the 1940’s has never been used! This menu board was designed by the manufacturer to be a consumable, throw-away --- for jotting down the ever-changing, daily menu “Specials”!

Featuring a delightful, cartoon-like caricature of a black man, this board is in very good condition with minor edge wear, slight age-discoloration and a teeny missing piece of the front rim of the hat.

This fantastic metal advertising sign for Grapette soft drink is among its earliest productions if not the first, alone making it a very desirable collector's item. But the fact that it is so large and decorative gives it extra oomph - especially for that holy of holies - the man cave.

This advertising sign is in exceptional condition considering its past life as an advertisement. It has nail holes at the outer rim on the top and the bottom...

This is a 9" across English bone china plate in the Royal Crown Derby 383 Kings pattern. The plate has superb hand painting in cobalt blue, orange, gold and rust red in the Imari palette and it has a ruffled edge. It is stamped with the RCD ENGLAND green mark with the date cypher III for 1940 and it has an underglaze C1 mark. It is in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or repairs, but please note there is a bit of gilding loss and a few utensil marks...

A very rare historically important documentary bamboo brush or pen pot drawn in ink signed 'Juli (July in Dutch) 1943' in the Tjihapit Internment Camp for Dutch Women and Children in the Japanese Occupied Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia).

The "cartoon" style drawings are curiously romanticised - I speculate, either to escape from the well documented brutal reality of camp conditions or it may have been produced, for propaganda purposes, under pressure from their concentration camp commanders...

Measuring just 10 inches in height, this diminutive, vintage 1940's, Mammy Bottle Doll is in near mint condition, with nicely detailed, machine-stitched clothing and a very darling face! Mammy bottle dolls were constructed to be quite functional; they were used as doorstops back in the day. Their sand-filled bottles added enough weight to readily keep that door in place.

Her cute face is composed of pearl button eyes with red fabric mouth...
