Small blue Japanese cloisonne vase with traveling scene. The body of the vase is cool blue with a dark blue mountain behind a building surrounded by trees. Three travelers approach as they pass a cliff with a cypress tree. Showa period, 1920-1930. It measures 2" at the base5.25" tall,1.5" wide mouth.

Silver wired flowers decorate this 3.75" signed Ando Jubei white cloisonne kogo. The interior is silvered, the rims copper colored.

Condition: Good, there are two hairlines beneath the bottom rim on opposite sides, one of which is illustrated in the fifth photograph.

The is a very rare large Koi vase created by a master. The koi are large and much finer than most ever seen on this style of vase. The vase is 9 1/2 tall and 11 1/4 inches wide. Rims are silver with an old Jungin stamp. Condition of this vase is excellent.

This is a beautiful small cloisonne vase decorated with with 7 butterflies of different sizes. Stands 4 3/4 inches tall. It is stamped Japan on base so it was probably made sometime between 1920& 1930. The enamel colors and style look like a few Ando pieces we have had from this time period. This is an attractive cloisonne vase from Ando. The enamel work and shading are finely done. The form and colors are rare. The vase stands 6 inches tall. There is a bit of hard to see crazing. This can be seen in the images and actually shows up more in the image than in person. It was made with silver rims and was probably made in the 1930's. This is a very nice display piece.

Japanese cloisonne small vase with blooming roses. There is a fully bloomed red rose and a small budding red rose. Along the base, there is a blooming white rose with pink edged petals. The body of the vase is a cool white. Taisho period, early 20th century. It measures 1.75" base diameter, 4" widest, 5" tall. Good condition.

Both have been repaired (filled in enamel). Vase one has several repaired areas. Vase one also has loss of enamel, enamel cracks, enamel bruising, oxidation, and bent lip. Unsigned with slight damage there is a chip to the lid side as seen in images with slight marks across top please review images we took as detailed as we could to show condition, shows solid black in damage area . Japanese Meiji Gold stone Cloisonné Ginger jar Humidor with tight fitting lid. Beautiful work in good condition there 3 rough spots on a butterfly wing and by flowers above and there is a close up of the spot, I found it by feel since its not very visible. Vintage price label on bottom but unmarked. Size h 5" by 4.25"

The mark of Ando Jubei is stamped on the bottom gilded rim of this 6.5" tall 20th century cloisonne vase. A cluster of silver wired grapes and leaves decorate the deep green ground.

Condition: Good, with only scuffing to the bottom rim, and a small indention to the upper. Also, there is a slight scratch below the grape cluster and another above the left wire tendril, too faint to photograph. The various white spots are merely light reflection.

This is a graceful 10.5" pear shaped vase bearing the seal of Ando Jubei. Enameled an unusual lush shade of plum/brown with a cream accent, it is decorated with silver wire flowers that appear gold against the dark ground. The bottom rim is marked "silver", the counter-enamel is dusty plum.

Condition: No chips, hairlines or repairs. There is minor scuffing to the base rim.

Beautiful little cloisonne bronze box by artist Nanaho Inaba of the Inaba Cloisonne Company in Koyto, Japan. It features many colorful little flowers on the lid and is in excellent condition. Measures 3.5 by 3 inches.

Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase from the Showa Period, circa 1930-1950s. Red body with plum blossoms on a branch. The red color used on the vase is known as, akasuke and is thought to be the most difficult color to produce and only the most skilled artisans can successfully produce its ruby red color. To create its color, gold is mixed with a glass like substance and is applied to the object and fired at a low temperature. It measures 5" tall, 1.25" opening, 2" base...

Japanese Ginbari Cloisonne Vase. Showa period, circa 1930-1950. The body of the vase is red with a pink chrysanthemum amongst white peonies with a green orchid. The red color, known as akasuke, is difficult to produce. Only the most skilled artisans can create the rich ruby red color and the transparent element where the motif on the vase shows through the glaze. Excellent condition, no scratches or dents. Manufacturer's stamp on the base. It measures 8.5" tall, 2.5" opening, base 2.75" base...

This is a very colorful Japanese Plique-a-Jour cloisonne vase. The colors used are a little different than most and contrast beautifully.(See images) Condition is very good. But when held up to bright light a line can be seen. It does not show in normal lighting. The vase is even a little different size. It stands 3 5/8 inches tall.

This mid 20th century Japanese cloisonné vase is 7 ¼” high and 3” on the widest part. It depicts a finch resting on a branch of a peony tree. It is in excellent condition.

Green cloisonne vase with scrolling leaf pattern. Circular mark and signed SATO on the base. Excellent condition no scratches or dents. Taisho/Showa Period, circa 1930-1950. It measures 1.75" opening, 2.5" base 7.25".

This is a beautiful cloisonne vase. It is not signed but it appears to be a vintage Hayashi Kodenji piece. The colors are brilliant and the enamel has a high gloss. Besides the top and bottom scroll work there are 7 butterflies that adorn this vase. This stout vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and is 6 inches wide. The rims are silver and condition is excellent.

A garland of enameled silver wired white chrysanthemums encircles this silver rimmed 9.5" brilliant red vase signed Ando Jubei and bearing the jungin mark.

Condition: Excellent,no chips, scratches or repairs. There is normal scuffing to the bottom lower rim.

This pair of vases was recovered from an estate in the Castroville/Watsonville area of California, over 20 years ago. This area is known as the Artichoke Capital of the world. When I recovered these vases they had been lamps and have since had the bottom drills hole restored. These vases are old but probably not Meiji era. They do have silver rims with scalloped wire trim at the edges of the enamel. The colors and shading are wonderful. These are the only examples of cloisonne enamel with bloom...

his is a wonderful Japanese Cloisonne lidded bowl, done in the Plique A Jour style. Lidded bowls like this are very difficult to come across. The piece is fairly large in size measuring 4 7/8" across and is 3 1/2" tall. An array of colorful and bright flowers and leaves decorate this exquisite bowl both top and bottom.
