Offered is this exceptional set of Murano glass 'Nerox', covered jars, made by Fratelli Toso around 1960 - the jars were designed by Ermanno Toso. The taller jar is 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 4 inches (10 cm) wide. The tall jar is in excellent condition - even the lid is present and is without chips, cracks etc (most of these rare jars, when available, are without lids, converted to lamps, etc). The shorter jar has a couple of inner-rim chips (unseen when lid is in place)...

A Chinese antique pear shaped snuff bottle done in glass overlay with four colours on an opaque white ground. The bottle of compressed ovoid form raising from an oval foot to a tall cylindrical neck. One carved side shows a bird perched on a tall branch holding fruit. On this side the maker has also affixed his mark, from Yangzhou School. A rare carved caramel and honey-colour cameo agate snuff bottle of compressed pear-form shape. The bottle is raised on an oblong foot ring and is carved on one side through an opaque caramel-colored area of the stone to the semi-translucent soft honey-colored body with a scholar watching a bat in flight. Matching original stopper.
