A vintage sterling silver Caddy spoon by William Spratling with a lightly hammered finish and shovel design. This spoon is from the first design period.

Measures 3 5/8" long and 1 1/2" across. Dates from before 1946. Marked with the script 'WS' surrounded by Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. Marks show some wear. Has minor wear to the surface appropriate to the age, some tarnish and surface scratches.

Old Chinese scholar’s rock in a shape of a dramatic snow covered mountain with numerous caves and crevices. Gives wonderful impression of immense energy of the mountain. Zhaoqing limestone of off-white color with darker inclusions and pinkish tinged areas. Superb scholar’s object, beautiful patina on the surface of the stone, flattened bottom, fitted rosewood stand. Height with stand 3 1/2 inches, length with stand 8 1/4 inches.

"Tiffany Windows" murrines vase by Fratelli Toso is documented in Leslie Pino's "Fratelli Toso, Italian Glass 1854-1980", P. 68. This vessel is amazing in good light and an excellent example of the Murano glassblowers' skills. The transparency of the murrines allows the light to flow through nicely and remind one of the "colors of Murano." The Tiffany Windows series dates to the 1960's. This beauty is 6" tall and in in perfect condition.

A light Celadon jade pendant depicting the Guanyin (Avalokiteśvara) standing on the sea waves. Mid-20th century. Condition: light brown inclusions; very tiny flakes on the edge; and two short (1/4" to 3/8") cracks on the top edge. Please see photos for details. Length: 4".

A small cast brass figurative weight of a man with a walking stick carrying a powder keg on his head. These weights were used by goldsmiths for weighing gold dust. This weight is of the Akan peoples of Ghana known as Ashani. Measures about 2.75 inches high. Dates early 20th century

Rare woman’s skirt (pukhang) from the Kachin/Jingpo ethnic group, Northeast Burma. This is two panels with supplementary weft trim on the ends made of dog hair. Mostly natural dye and indigo. It is quite a durable weave with denim like feel. There is some staining, one small hole as well as a bit of dye bleeding. I could only find examples this in “Textiles of the Hill Tribes of Burma”: Michael C. Howard (plate 107) and the Metropolitan Museum of Art: Accession Number: 2002.312...

The front right foot of the male fu dog rests upon a rounded "xi qui" floral ball, representing rule and supremacy over the world...

4 pieces of Nara Uchiwa whose history dates back to Nara period (A.D.710~794). It began as manual side line work of the Shinto priest of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara. The traditional motifs (Tenpyo Moyo) such as peonix, deer, kylin (imaginary animal), dragon, Parrot etc. These four (originally five) were made by Ikeda Gankodo which is only existing maker of it in Nara. Number 9 in a series of 12 Fornasetti plates commissioned in the 1970’s by Martini & Rossi. Each plate depicts an item in their wine museum in Pessione, in this case the first barrel – Il Primo Tino - used for the fabrication of the famous Martini vermouth. Pessione is a village in northern Italy, not far from Torino. The back of the plate gives a contextual presentation of the plate and has the Fornasetti brush in hand mark. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.7 cm. Condition: fine.

A lovely set of mid-century enameled sterling silver coffee spoons by Henry Clifford Davis. Davis focused mostly on smaller objects, often enhanced with enamel. Each is fully stamped with Davis' hallmarks and the date letter for 1950...
