Afghanistan Wool grain or Saddle bag made to pillow, cushion, 12" square, all wool material, top is flat woven, geometric design in red wine color and darker camel hair color.

Very rare complete jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Offered is this beautiful copper wheel engraved plate in jade glass, made around 1930 by Steuben. The plate is about 8 1/2 inches wide and is in excellent condition. It is signed by Steuben, both in block letters and with the fleur-de-lis symbol.

Offered is this beautiful Dale Chihuly three-piece sea-form 'Persian' set (not sure if it is a stand-alone set or part of a bigger set). Polished pontils on very light glass. The biggest piece is 10 1/2 inches long. Except for a minor chip (see last picture), the set is in great condition. Unsigned (if it was part of a bigger set, perhaps, one piece of the set, the largest, was signed, as is/was typical of Chihuly).

A large and beautiful pink glass bowl decorated with frosted lines and circles - the bowl was made by Schneider company of France around 1930. The large blown glass bowl (has a polished pontil) is 14 inches (35,5 cm) in diameter and is in excellent condition (there are some expected faint scratches on its bottom - see picture). It is signed, 'Schneider' on its foot. A similar bowl is listed on page 374 of 'Warman's Glass', 4th edition, 2002 (shown in last picture here for your convenience).

The glass vase itself is over 10 inches in height and 7 1/2 inches wide (handle-to-handle) and 7 inches wide at the widest part (without handle). The glass is in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs (the polished pontil of the vase has a clean drilled hole). A tall amber-colored, signed art deco era decanter, made by Moser. Overall, the decanter is in good condition (the decanter has been examined under black-light: there are no cracks in the decanter) - there are some chips however (the biggest one shown in the last picture). The tall decanter is 20 1/2 inches (52 cm) tall and 5 1/2 inches (14 cm) wide at the bottom. It is signed on its bottom (also, a similar decanter is shown on page 141 of Baldwin's book, 'Moser Artistic Glass edition two').

A Durand glass, blue iridescent vase, made around 1925 by Vineland Glassworks - the iridescence is similar to Steuben's, 'Aurene' and Tiffany's, 'Favrile'. The vase is 8 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches wide. Polished pontil. It is in fine condition (there is a spurious, 'LCT' at the bottom). Like many Durand glass objects, the vase is unsigned - it is guaranteed to be by Durand in their Shape Number 1730 (please refer to page 160 of Meschi's book for this vase-shape).

American Rockingham, the ware for which Bennington, Vermont became famous in the mid 19th century, is English in origin and name for the Marquis of Rockingham, whose works at Swinton produced a ware similar brownish color. A very unusual modern Japanese pottery vase. Exaggerated chatter decoration spiraling from the foot to the shoulder, the tacky clay lifted to a very coarse texture before firing. The neck to rim, also spiraling up the vase, finished smoothly. Apparently in the tradition of the stoneware tile work kilns of Bizen and Tokoname. Studio artist marks in impressed cartouches on the foot. Excellent condition. Height, 8 inches.

A classic Art Deco porcelain water jug advertising Ricard Anisette. In the south of France, tradition dictates that Ricard and other anise-flavored spirits be drunk with a side of water. Makers such as Ricard and Pernod provided advertising pitchers to local bars to increase their sales. This globe form is the classic shape from the first half of the 20th century. The bottom is marked "Ateliers de Céramique Ricard/Made In France".
