Exceptional art deco signed Gyokusen-do hand-hammered copper flower vase with the famed foundry's seal on the bottom. Showa Period c. 1960. This vase has a rare Mt.Fuji pattern throughout. Probably used once and then packed away for another generation, this vintage silk traditional sari from Varanasi is a vibrant as the day it was loomed. A small leaf pattern of gold metallic thread dots the entire length of the deep green silk field. There is a 2 inch brocaded border on each side which also runs the length of the sari. The end panel is ornately patterned brocaded silk and makes extensive use of gold metallic threads...

This beautiful Ebony black 12 inch High Number 402 Vase was made by Cambridge Glass. This Vase has a beautiful etched Bird looking back, resembles a Bird in Paradise on both sides, with other etched leaves and flowers above and below the bird. Signed on the bottom, KANINKOSO, this bronze 'koro' incense burner is from the Showa Period 1950-1960. The main body has a flock of cranes in supurb relief, as well as a lid with a hexagonal turtle diaper and a turtle on top.

The bouquet of flowers for this stunning silk fukusa was made using yuzen resist dying, free-hand embroidery, and gold surihaku, with gold and silver foil couching applied to create the bow. On the reverse side is a large mons (family crest). Three of the four original silk tassels are still intact. As a decorative item, this fukusa would make a fabulous wall hanging or framed artwork. In excellent condition, we estimate this fukusa to be mid Showa. It measures 26” wide x 29” high...

Bowl or dish in Sommerso technique, clear glass and grass green, designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glass works, Sweden. VL was appointed chief designer at Kosta in 1950, and the bowl was produced in the mid 50’s. Incised mark Kosta LH 1308/75 (model number), where L is for Lindstrand and H means artisanal, made by hand. Height "2 / 5 and width "3 ¾ / 9.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Here is a rare and important ariel vase by the master Edvin Ohrstrom for Orrefors. The zig zag design on a blood red background is spectacular. The vase, in excellent condition, measures 7 1/4" (18cm) tall. On the underside is incised Orrefors, Sweden, Edvin Ohrstrom, the date code Ariel 1055E.

Orrefors Fishgraal (Graal) vase, circa 1954. Large crystal vase with fish swimming in pond with pond weed. Rarer, near spherical form. Signed ORREFORS/Graal No. 1159 H/Edward Hald. Piece measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall and is 5 3/8 inches (13.6 cm) in diameter. Highly reflective and gives illusion of many more fish swimming in pond. Condition is excellent,has minor surface scratches but no chips, cracks or repairs. Age appropriate scratches to base.

Two massive modernist clear glass solitaire vases from the 1950s, each with a large bubble. Designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta, the Swedish glassworks. Both signed Kosta, LH for Lindstrand, 1496 and 1615 respectively (model numbers). Height "8 and 4 ¼ / 20 and 11 cm. Condition: fine, except for a few misty contours to the inside of both vases, near the top.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl Copenhagen between 1951 and 1960. It has the model number 2095. It is 6 1/4 inches high and 8 1/4 inches long. He is well modeled with all of the requirements of this breed of dog. He is hand painted and has a high gloss glaze. He would make a fine addition to any dog collection. Condition: Excellent, first quality.
