Measures 12 3/4" in diameter, and 1 3/4" deep, of heavy porcelain.
Signed on back with Finzi signature, "oro zecchino" and "Depinto a mano".
Very few of these were made, and all were hand decorated.

Number 9 in a series of 12 Fornasetti plates commissioned in the 1970’s by Martini & Rossi. Each plate depicts an item in their wine museum in Pessione, in this case the first barrel – Il Primo Tino - used for the fabrication of the famous Martini vermouth. Pessione is a village in northern Italy, not far from Torino. The back of the plate gives a contextual presentation of the plate and has the Fornasetti brush in hand mark. Diameter "9 ¼ / 23.7 cm. Condition: fine.
