Large charger by Val M. Cushing (USA, New York, 1931-2013), from his "shard series". Circa 1970-1980. 18" in diameter. Signed. Cushing was professor of ceramics at Alfred University. His works are in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian, the National Design Museum, the Everson Museum to just name a few.

This is a really nice Coralbel Oval Vegetable or Serving Bowl made by Syracuse China. The Bowl measures 10 inches wide X 7 1/4 inches across. In the south of France, tradition dictates that anise-flavored aperitifs should be served with water to dilute the drink. Makers such as Ricard and Pernod provided advertising pitchers to local bars and cafes to increase their sales. This set of 6 porcelain tea cups and saucers was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in the 1940s or 1950s. The saucers are 4 7/8 inches in diameter and the cups are 1 3/4 inches high. The fine translucent porcelain has a molded swirl pattern. They are hand painted with Dresden type floral painting in vivid colors. Condition: Excellent

"Frence hand painted" mark French Porcelain fluted marquise shape small Dish, maybe Samson Porcelain factory, 1960's, 1" high, 4" 3 1/4" wide, beautifully raised enamel painted of Pomegranate branch in the center inside border of scrolling vines with lots of brilliant gold highlighted. Marked "France Hand painted". The condition is like new.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1930. It has a diameter of 10 inches. The plate has a scalloped rim and a deep well. The decoration is hand painted in a realistic manner with vibrant colors. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. This is a first quality plate in excellent condition.

These 4 porcelain ramekins were produced in France by Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot Limoges in the 1940s. The under plates have a diameter of 5 inches and the cups have a diameter of 4 inches. They are decorated with a transfer design. The garlands of flowers contain large pink roses. The cups are decorated inside and outside. There is gold trim and gilded accents on both pieces...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges in the 1920s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The cup and saucer are octagonal shaped. It is decorated in a bold, abstract art deco design. There are alternating panels of flowers and flowing colors. These panels are produced using thick enamels. You can feel the texture of the designs giving it an effect that is similar to pottery...

Art Déco vase by Camille Tharaud, 1925-30. Camille Tharaud (1878-1956) came from a family of porcelain makers in Limoges. He collaborated with designers like Marcel Goupy and Henri Rapin. At the International exhibition of modern decorative and industrial arts in Paris 1925, Tharaud was prized for his technique of high-fire enamelling directly onto the raw porcelain.
