A Maling Peony 6504A large 10-7/8" centerpiece bowl from the 1930s. This English pottery bowl is fully hand painted in cobalt blue with red, purple, yellow and blue peony flowers with green leaves and brown branches. It has the Maling stamp in use from 1934~1940 and it stands 2-3/8" high on its three feet. A great looking addition to your table or collection. A classic Art Deco porcelain water jug advertising Ricard Anisette. In the south of France, tradition dictates that Ricard and other anise-flavored spirits be drunk with a side of water. Makers such as Ricard and Pernod provided advertising pitchers to local bars to increase their sales. This globe form is the classic shape from the first half of the 20th century. The bottom is marked “Ateliers de Céramique Ricard/Made in France”.

Beautiful lobed Kutani yaki dish in Yoshidaya style, modern. Decoration of camellia in white, aubergine, green, speckled yellow and gilt. The back with a character in gilt, possibly Qiu, meaning Autumn. It is also defined by Graesse in his classical work about pottery and porcelain marks as from the village of Shinomine in Arita.
