A lovely signed "Hand Made in Greece Ikaros Pottery B420" with a small 4 at the bottom. In excellent condition though the rim has a slight imperfection original to the piece that is not noticeable except to the touch. The piece measures 8" (h) x 7" (w). The Ikaros factory was located in Rhodes,Greece and ceased production in 1988.

These four Minton Gold Ancestral dessert plates (#S 595) are quite handsome indeed. Each are marked on the back and also each has the Minton imprint. The brown-red transfer decoration of flowers and leaves is painted with turquoise and pink enamel to accent the flowers. Each plate is trimmed in gold and is in excellent condition. Measures 7 7/8" across the scalloped rim. Production dates: 1944-1976. Book price $45.00 a plate.

Standing on sweeping foot, the blue bowl is decorated in the round with classical figural and objective motifs. Excellent condition save for a couple of stains in the bowl. Dimension: 8" d

Interesting plate or dish, diameter 10 7/8", about one inch deep, with "WADE 333 Calif-U.S.A." on the bottom. I am a fine art dealer so pottery, china and ceramics are not my specialty, but Wade of California it seems was a mid century operation in Southern California---a part of the rich tradition of California pottery. Oversize salt fired bowl by Cynthia Bringle (legendary American studio potter, born 1939), circa 1970-1980, fresh from a Charlotte NC estate. In excellent original condition. Signed with full incised signature "Cynthia Bringle". Almost 16" across, 9" high. Bringle's works are in the collections of the High Museum of Art, the Mint Museum of Art, the Brooks Memorial Art Gallery, the Craft and Folk Museum in Los Angeles...

Large charger by Val M. Cushing (USA, New York, 1931-2013), from his "shard series". Circa 1970-1980. 18" in diameter. Signed. Cushing was professor of ceramics at Alfred University. His works are in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian, the National Design Museum, the Everson Museum to just name a few.

These "Liberty Blue" bread and butter plates are 5 7/8" in diameter. They have a blue and white floral rim with a scene of Monticello in the center. They are in excellent condition.

A Herend Printemps hand painted oblong trinket or cigarette box with floral decoration and gold trim. This 6-3/4 x 3-1/2" box stands 1-1/2" tall and it is probably one of the many Printemps pieces which all have similar and slightly variant floral designs. It has the later Herend mark with a 7987 form number and a BT pattern code with a 1 or I below. It also has an impressed 7981 26 on the bottom...

Late 1960s early 1970s ELC marked "Roke's Drift" red and blue glazed Zulu plate with a raku tupe glaze , the body seems to have some animal hair mixed in the clay body. A finely sculpted bust of a young man with exceptional patina of finely blended earth and bronze pigments. Physical condition is superb, but a small amount of finish has worn around the left eye and on the top of the head exposing a green substrate, yet harmonious with the earthen finish. Signed on the back of the neck. We have been unable to decipher the signature; yet the work speaks well for the unidentified artist. Dimension: 13" h

Pretty set of eight bone china coasters by Royal Worcester. Each has a hand painted transfer-printed floral bouquet design. The outer edges are ridged and the rims are gilt. In addition to their original purpose, the coasters could also be used for nut dishes or even butter pats.
