A beautiful enamel on copper tiny coin purse in the form of a watch; marked Paris, and with a scene of the Place de la Concorde; 1 3/8" diameter

Gorgeous vintage Hermes silk scarf (“carré”) worked in rich shades of medium blue, cream, golds, browns and greys. The design illustrates various 18th century gilded carriage or chariot wheels, including one emblazoned with an image of the Sun King, Louis XIV. The hand-rolled edges (rolled toward the front) are plump. “Hermès Paris” is worked into the design, as is the signature of the desiger, Caty Latham.

Deco in feeling this all-over fringe purse is charming and in perfect condition inside and out. For a collector, a user, or both. 7" wide, 6" long, strap measures 14" end to end.

SALE The scarf is probably NH and is dated and also has an initial, Al. It is handwoven and is 38" on two sides and then 47" across the back. It is 1/2 of a square, triangle. It is in perfect condition. The colors are beige, brown, and tan. This is a museum-quality Shaker scarf.

From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a beautiful vintage Indian silk sari executed in a rich and lively multi-colored palette. The central panel uses purple and red silks along with gold thread woven into elaborate floral and geometric designs, and the borders use blue and green silks along with gold thread as well.

Red, white, and navy blue hand woven wool coverlet, early 19th century, measuring 91" long by 74" wide. Woven in two equal sections, three fringed sides have the design shown in photos 1,3 & 4. The 4th side is hemmed and without the design. Excellent condition except for the hemmed edge which has holes along that side. A tightly hooked rug, American, perhaps Amish, from the 1930’s. Wool on burlap with hand attached black cotton backing. 29 inches long by 22 inches wide. The unusual free hand pattern shows black stars with pale blue crosses in an integrated geometric pattern.

Condition: Overall excellent condition with one professional darned repair on the border between one star and cross (see close up image)...

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a very striking and highly unusual vintage silk on cotton kilim style rug, Persia, executed in a bold multi-colored palette of red, gold, purple, blue, rust, green, brown, peach, pink, cream, turquoise and black. It's a legitimate reflex to assume this unusual kilim comes from somewhere in the Caucasus Region, but further research suggests that the lion and double eagles in the center panel are actually Persian motifs de guerre...

This beautiful purse, with a single large figure, measures 8 1/4" wide, and 9 3/4" long, plus another 2" for the wonderful 4 color twisted loop fringe.

It features a gentleman in colonial garb, holding a tri-corn hat in one hand and a staff in the other. He is standing on a path which leads to a cottage, surrounded by trees, and highlighted by a red roof, in the background...

A wonderful micro beaded figural purse from the 1st quarter of the 20th century. The scene shows two figures in 18th century clothing, the man serenading, with a mandolin, a woman seated in a chair in the garden. The same scene appears on both sides of the purse.

Complementing the multi-colored scene is a beautiful enameled and jeweled frame and a full four color fringe.

The condition of the purse, inside and out, is excellent, with no holes or tears. The clasp closes firmly and evenly...

A beautiful, elegant, and rare carpet motif micro beaded purse. The rarity of the purse comes from the use of an open field in a cream white with representations of four flasks. The field is surrounded by a triple guard (borders) of extremely detailed and intricate flower representations. Finely done carpet motif purses, as this is, are known to use beads of the smallest size, often far smaller than figural or scenic purses...

Bordered (and backed) with a satiny black fabric gathered (2 1/2"), there is a yellow, green, pink, & lavender intertwining pattern of various geometric shapes and sizes highlighted by heavy black geometric stitching at the center. A Persian Shahsavan bag dating from around 1900. The face is woven in wool in Sumakh flatweave technique, showing different repeating ornaments. The back is made of stripes in Kilim. Originally this wool bag was a double bag. Condition: clean, vibrant colors. The selvages with signs of partial wear, the back with damaged area. Dimension: 52 cm x 47 cm.
