Bowl or ashtray from Marcello Fantoni, Firenze (Florence), 1950’s. The upper part made of yellow clay with an orange coating, the base of brown clay. Heavily chamotted. Signed Fantoni, Italy and (possibly) a model number. Diameter "4¾/ 11,8 and height "2½/ 6,5 cm. Condition: fine.

This pretty amber Patrician Spoke depression glass Cup and Saucer Set was made by Federal Glass from 1933 to 1937. The Cup measures 3 5/8 inches in diameter X 2 3/4 inches high. A beautiful, Murano glass vase with the 'Mezza Filigrana' decor. The decor of the vase is sandwiched between a clear outer glass layer and an inner white glass layer. The glass is 3/8 inches (1 cm) thick. The heavy vase is 13 inches (33 cm) tall and 4 3/4 inches (12 cm) wide. It is without chips or cracks. There are some fabrication/annealing lines (see pictures). Unsigned. Though many Murano glass houses made vases in this technique, this vase is attributed to Barovier & Toso.

This extremely unusual sculptural item is made of solid, clear glass with internal red and green inclusions. It is unsigned, but possibly by Fulvio Bianconi for Cenedese, circa 1950s. In the 1950s, Bianconi, who is best known for his creations for Venini, designed a series of objects for Cenedese in which he "drew" with multicolored glass threads in colorless glass. The distinctive color scheme and bold experimentation of this non-functional item makes Bianconi a likely designer...
