A woven wool sash from Tibet, circa mid to late 20th century. Measuring 15.3 x 300 cm including the fringes, it is in overall good condition, but with some fraying. These sashes are used by Tibetans to tie their traditional attire (chuba for women, lokpa for men) and also to secure knives, bundles etc. Enlargement #6 shows the use of these sashes in traditional Tibetan nomadic culture (© 1995 East of Lo Manthang by Peter Matthiessen and Thomas Laird).

Robust ghurra surprising by its gigantic dimensions, while little use index can be observed despite an estimate good age ( 40 to 50 years). The ghurras may well ask riddles unanswered for now. Large mask, large triangular nose in a lighter shade with some whitish traces, beautiful and old black patina on the entire mask. the mouth shows large sculpted teeth which reveal the tongue. Probably Eastern Nepal. Very hard wood H 41.5 cm

A very old ghurra with super fine design achievement, Note a standing protector ( H 3.5 cm) on each side of the house on top of the ghurra, the protectors are barely visible as they are deeply encrusted and worn out, exceptional signs of a great use , at least from early 20th, H 24 cm, wide 6 cm, thick 4 cm.

Set of 2 graduated size of Tibetan Himalayan Yak Butter or ghee Lamp, 3/4" high 3 5/8" x 1 1/2" wide-larger piece, 5/8" high 2 7/8" x 1 1/8" wide for smaller piece, shows old age.

The top shows 3 ancestors flat faces who are protectors of the family, they are surmounted by a conical crown with carved geometrical lines. The middle part is a “Dorgi”, the symbol of cosmic power. The down part is triangular blade with an intelace of snakes, used as a knife to nail the bad spirits while the shaman is fighting with devils and demons. The white cloth strips wrapped around the middle part are to protect the shaman hands against the high energy during his fight...

Tibetan Himalayan Wool Horse Rug with Dragon design, purchased in Lhasa Tibet early 1980's, 35" x 25" wide, curled up Dragon in the center on dark blue background bordered by Tibetan motif, the outer border is sewn with red Felt fabric and the bottom is dark blue fabric. The condition is new.

Suoerbly cast five prong vajra, with delicate details, on the makara heads, as well as on the stylised lotus. Bronze with fine dark patina. Tibet, mid 20th century, maybe earlier. Length: 12 cm. Very good condition.

Rare Copper Antique Yoni/Shiva Lingam Ceremonial Vessel for Holy Water .This rare tear-shaped vessel has been beautifully forged from hand-beaten copper, and features a centrally placed pointed lingam set within the bowl, with a matching navel underneath with an inscription.
