India 19th c hand carved stone spice bowls, used throughout India in traditional homes these spice bowls are carved in a variety of stone these are mostly seatite . The larger has a nice warm patina I use one in my kitchen for sea salt. Size over 3.75 w on larger 2.75 or so on the smaller H just under 2 " on taller.

Set of 2 graduated size of Tibetan Himalayan Yak Butter or ghee Lamp, 3/4" high 3 5/8" x 1 1/2" wide-larger piece, 5/8" high 2 7/8" x 1 1/8" wide for smaller piece, shows old age.
A woman's shift ("kurta") from Swat in vivid pink silk embroidery with green and purple accents on a black cotton background. This kurta has exceptionally fine cross-stitch embroidery at the sleeves, suggesting a link with Indus Kohistan. Indeed, it is not uncommon for embroidered panels for dresses from Indus Kohistan to be found in the markets of Swat (see Nasreen Askari, Colours of the Indus, © 1997)...

The embroidery of Swat Valley is renowned for its dramatic colors stitched against a black background. This cushion cover from Mingora in Swat is in satin stitch in a deep purple with pink highlights. The embroidery is silk floss thread outlined with yellow outline stitching on a black cotton background. There is one small tear on one corner of the textile. It measures 41 x 41 cm and is dated to the mid or late 20th century.
Nepanese Wooden Ghee Butter Tea Bottle or Chaang with Brass mounted with top attached with brass chain, 6" high, the condition is new.
Interesting set of two Indian or Nepalese silver figurines of musicians, c. early 20th. century.
The figures are made of fairly high grade silver, at least .800 or more. They are well-made with lots of added bangles and both playing instruments.

Two very playful Southeast Asian panthers skillfully carved from red palm wood. They can be displayed on any one of 3 sides and look as thought they were designed to be viewed in whatever position you place them. The wood is heavy and dense feeling very much like a hardwood and weighs about 3 lbs. In excellent vintage condition, they measure 9.5 inches long by 5 inches high. Dates early 20th century.

Tibetan Himalayan hand woven Wool Rug, with Buddihist motifs and double fish among free flowing Tibetan Clouds in cream color background, purchased new carpet in Shigatse or Gyantse Rug factory in 1980's, thick wool and heavy weight, 6 1/2'(78") x 4 1/2'(54"), with free flowing Tibetan Clouds and various Buddhist motifs in the cream color background, made by "Tibet-Gyen Carpet Factory" in Tibet, cloth label in the back, the condition is good, no wears or damages.

Gilt bronze figure of Kubera (Kambala) also known as Dhanapati "Lord of Riches", seated on mythical beast with mongoose in one hand, his elaborate crown and round belly suggest great wealth, Nepalese, early/mid 20th century.

A hand-emboidered purse from Pakistan, measuring 19 cm x 21 cm. The embroidery technique is a combination of ladder stitch and satin stitch in silk on a black cotton ground. The purse is framed on all three sides by white glass bead tassels. Estimated age: late 20th century. Condition is excellent.

Important and rather rare ancient statue from West Nepal (Karnali River districts but possibly Jumla region). The statue shows a protector standing with his hands folded in the ritual gesture of Namaste. Note the treatment of the arms showing a rounded rather than angular elbow joint.
