Three cups and saucer trays by Noritake, Japan, mid 50’s. Saucers shaped like water lily leaves – a modernist design also reminding of the painter’s palette shape so much in vogue in the 50’s in ceramics, jewelry, teak wood and more. The cups to fit at one side, in order to allow for a sandwich or some biscuits. The back with the N and ribbon mark in use from 1953. Width of saucers "9 ½ / 24 cm, height of cups "2 2/3 / 6.8 cm. Condition: fine.
1930's Chinese Gilt Cloisonne Enamel Stool
It is 18.7 inches (47.5 cm) tall by 15 inches (38 cm) wide.
Its bottom has missing enamels, enamel bruising, enamel chips, bent metals, and bent metal rims. It also has rubbing of gilt and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

From our Southeast Asia Collection, a fine and very large Khmer (Cambodian) handmade silk textile now framed as a wall hanging, executed in traditional Khmer palette using a combination of natural vegetal dyes and synthetic colors, depicting various animal and geometric motifs. A very striking and dramatic piece not commonly encountered.
Size and Condition: 94 1/2 inches wide, 40 1/2 inches tall. Some minor thread pulls here and there but overall excellent condition.

Japanese folk art, farmer's clay doll: 11 1/2"h x 5 3/4"w
All the clay dolls are somehow originated from the Fushimi clay doll of the Kyoto area.
Fushimi dolls were originally sold as souvenirs to the pilgrims on the road of Fushimi Kaidou from Kyoto to Fushimi Inari Shrine in the early Edo period (1600-1868). By the end of 19th century, these dolls were made all over Japan...
Chinese jadeite pendant, carved into the form of a butterfly with pierced symbols in its wings and pierced filigree. It is mounted in 14K gold, with gold branches and leaves hanging over its top.

Pair of Chinese cloisonne vases with intricate designs and fine workmanship. The gold gilt vases are mirror image and each is decorated with a panel featuring a bird on a flowering branch; the opposing side having a panel with a butterfly hovering over flowers. The ornate brown background with gold wires features a floral pattern to include large chrysanthemums. In excellent condition they measure 7.5" high x 4" diameter.

Clearly this a very early ghurra showing greatly achieved carving art combined with thick crusted patina and significant signs of wear. The sculpture motifs represent on both side of the ghurra a scene of churning, supported by an interlacing which could represent snakes which it is however difficult to formally identify as the deposit is important and hides the details. The front and back sides of the ghurra are symmetrical H 31 cm, , width 9.5 cm , Thickness 3 cm
