Pair of (1930's) Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase with Dragon & Phoenix
Each is 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall by 2.2 inches (5.5 cm) wide. Total weight is 289 gram.
Both have been repaired (filled in enamel). Vase one has several repaired areas. Vase one also has loss of enamel, enamel cracks, enamel bruising, oxidation, and bent lip. Vase two has 2 small spots of repairs. It also has loss of enamel. Both are tarnished and have surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

Chinese gourd shaped vase done in Peking glass with silver wire and fittings covering the vase. The silver fittings contain auspicious motifs such as the character longevity and goldfish. Seated Kwan yins are also adorning the vase. The bottom contain two chop marks, one says wenyin and another reading tianzhu Age:19th/ 20th century - height 6.5" diameter 3.5"

On one side, three figures approach a mountain pavilion where rocky crags rise out of the mist, trees bend and flocks of birds fly. Antique Chinese coin purse made of brass and enameled with cloisonne during the Republic period of around 1920. The purse is beautifully enameled with a colorful design that includes a central lotus flower and vines. It still has its original brown braided silk suspension cord and two fringed tassels.
CONDITION: Shows age and use. Overall, it is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, restorations, or repairs.
