A wooden carved Tibetan mask. The art of Tibetan masks can be classified into religious type and folk type. Exorcising masks were initially held to drive away ghosts and evil spirits. Later were used in local operas. Size: 27cm X 13cm.

An early 20th century cloisonne obidome with a vibrant color floral design that can be worn as a pendant. Size: H. 4cm. W. 4.5cm. Condition: No repairs.

This apron would be worn for festival by young woman, recently married and hoping to become pregnant or in the early stage of pregnancy. After the baby is born, the straps will be relocated so that the apron is converted to a baby carrier. The coin bottom border is show hope for good fortune for the baby. The 3 tassles on the end of the apron straps are show hope for eventually having 3 children. The butterfly is considered the mother of the Miao people.

Early 20th century Chinese stone carving of a boy playing his bamboo flute while sitting on a resting buffalo. Nice details, excellent condition. Approximately 9.5 inches long x 5" high.

A large Ko-Kutani style porcelain, charger sized, deep dish or shallow bowl. In the Ao-Kutani palette but with addition of red enamel to the array of blue, green, aubergine, yellow, black and chocolate brown enamel. The interior with bird perched on a peony stem, the cavetto with band of repeating diamond pattern. The back glazed green over black karakusa. The bottom yellow with black mark under a square green glazed reserve...

Brilliant folk art piece. A clay 'Fushimi Ningyo' sumo doll from the 1930s. Fushimi Ningyo dolls were sought after souvenirs by visitors to Kyoto. Fushimi Inari being one of the must see great shrines of southern Kyoto. The detail of the arms and fabulous facial expression make this a collector's piece. Excellent condition with normal age wear on the head and top knot. H: 11" x W:6 " . Ask for shipping quote.

This carved amethyst snuff bottle is a mid 20th century product. It is 2 1/8” high, 3” wide and 1” thick. It depicts two lotus pods wrapped with lotus leaves. The hard stone lid and bamboo spoon are later replacements. It is in excellent condition.

Extremely beautiful Chinese scroll by artist Yuan Feng Zhau of a robed scholar seated in a grassy field next to a flat boulder, studying. The rising moon can be seen in the background, hanging above a small cliff with branches with beautiful blossoming flowers curled around it. The brush strokes and colors used give a sense of serenity. It is signed and stamped in the corner. 20th century Size: 58.5" height, 18.5" width
