Large Chinese low bowl painted in blue hues against a white ground with a bluish hue. This bowl features two deer, the male and female under a large tree. The underside of the bowl has three evenly spaced sprigs. The base and rim have been left unglazed. Unmarked.

Chinese famille rose plate with a central figure of a rooster with other roosters among lotus blooms and other foliage. The underside of this plate has been covered in pewter, leaving the base exposed that shows a six character iron red Guangxu mark. With the addition of pewter, this dish is quite heavy.
