Chinese antique small display shelf with stand, made of hong-mu. A staggered shelf in the middle breaks up the square area. The front and sides of the unit is carved with delicate lined details and cusped edges. On each side of both the top and bottom shelf is a little window (four total) and the back is open. A Carved silhouette agate snuff bottle, the slightly flattened globular body carved to the front face using the dark brown layer with a scholar among trees, flowers and rockery. The reverse left bare. Complete with original matching agate stopper. Recessed base.
