Chinese carved Ivory Ram's Head clasp, consisting of Ram's Head and oval ring, 2 long 7/8" wide, 3/8" deep-Ram's Head, and 7/8" x 5/8" wide, 1/8" thick-oval ring, made in "Hong Kong" label, imported to US prior to 1980. The oval ring goes over the Ram's Head to close the necklace, connect with string to other side of Ram's head, there are two(2) holes to connect together and string the oval ring next to beads of your choice. The condition is good.

Japanese tall brown Lacquer on wood Candlestick, 28" high, 12" diameter-base diameter, 4" diameter-top, attached brass round dish on top and brass hook on the side. Lacquer surface shows wear and tear, as is condition.

Kogai type kanzashi consists of two sticks featuring a design on each end, which tend to be wider than the centre. Kogai resemble sheathed swords, with one end being removable in order for it to be placed in the hairstyle. Wonderful lacquer work, in very good vintage condition. Length assembled 4 1/4 inches. Wooden figure of Tosa-inu (Tosa dog) representing Yokozuna (grand champion of sumo ). Tosa is located in Kochi prefecture in Shikoku district. In good condition except for some dirt in the ropes. 20th century. W:10.3cm x H:10.3cm D:12cm

Katagami which is used for katazome (stenci-resist-dye), made of many layers of washi (Japanese handmade paper). It is painted with kakishibu (persimmon tannin) for waterproof and strength. The pattern "Kanze-mizu" is derived from the crest of the Noh drama player Kanze Dayu which is whirl of water. He was the founder of Kanze style Noh (15th century). Japanese Bamboo Tea Ceremony Dish or Bowl, heavy Chestnut color Lacquer applied on hand woven Bamboo Dish or Bowl, 7" diameter, 1 3/4" high, the condition is good.

Japanese Woodblock Print by Hiroshige in black lacquered frame, reprinted in 1960's, one of East coast series, 18 1/2 x 20 1/2" for frame, 14" x 9 1/2" for image, tear on right side as is condition.

Early Showa (1930s) Japanese obidome (sash ornament) of round shape with engraved flowers. Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Very nice work, beautiful patina. Metal fitting on the back with two loops for an obi cord. Diameter 1 1/8 inches.

A hand carved wood totem pole on a round base, made for the tourist trade at mid-century, no signature, 7" high and 6 1/4" widest point on the wings, with original yellow sticker on the back from Indian Craft Shoppe, 905 Government Street, Victoria, British Columbia. There is a little chip off the tip of one wing, otherwise is in good condition.

4 pieces of Nara Uchiwa whose history dates back to Nara period (A.D.710~794). It began as manual side line work of the Shinto priest of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara. The traditional motifs (Tenpyo Moyo) such as peonix, deer, kylin (imaginary animal), dragon, Parrot etc. These four (originally five) were made by Ikeda Gankodo which is only existing maker of it in Nara.
