Perhaps a modern reference to Jo and Uba, the old couple on the island Takasago who symbolize longevity...

Japanese mid 20th century bronze vase by metal artist NEYA CHUROKU (1897 - 1987). The tall vase is done with a dragonfly and autumn grass design. The vase measures 17 7/8" tall and 6" in diameter.

Japanese Bizen figure of an ox with the rice god Daikoku on the forehead . This piece is likely a figure for home alter for the Asian zodiac year of the ox. A very unique piece with an almost deco styling and wonderful speckled clay . 7.5" by 5" by 4" please note the chip under the chin.

Semi antique, large woman’s sarong from the Stieng/Xtiêng ethic group Vietnam. Over 60 years old, this is woven from all handspun cotton threads. There is a patch, 7cm x 2cm fray on one edge and small 1cm hole. L: 203cm/79on39.8in and W: 94cm/37in.

Vintage good size glass ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) in barrel shape with subtle black, blue and green pattern. Beautifully made, pleasantly heavy, wonderful smooth surface. Diameter 0.94 Inches.

Pair Chinese Bamboo small Chairs, Ca. early 1900's, 30" high-back, 15 1/2" high-seat, 15 1/2" wide, 15 1/2" deep-from front to back side, with separation on bamboo with old repair used metal ring to hold bamboo together, and the back has some missing pieces of bamboo.

Hand-woven silk sakiori obi (sash) whose weft is bunch of mixed color of silk yarn and warp is black cotton yarn. Generally sakiori is hand-woven of recycled strips from old cloth for wefts , however, we call the one also sakiori, whose wefts are bunch of yarns. In excellent condition. An enchanting tea bowl with painted plum blossoms. The blossoms appears to be of the "un-ryu" species which translates as "flying dragon" in English. Grounded and weighty in construction, the innocent and playful drawings on the outer surface of this tea bowl make for a well-balanced composition.

In excellent condition, this piece measure 4.7 inches in diameter (12 cm) and stands 4 inches tall (10 cm). It features a signature in the clay of the pedestal (unknown potter)...

Exhibited, is a fine European antique shoe horn with an incredible carved horn handle in form of a dog's head and ebony shaft, close attention to every details, Size: The carved handle measures 3.5 inches long and overall length of shoe horn is 22 inches long. Condition Report: good condition considering age of this beautiful item, age crack to the lower end of shaft, late 19th/early 20th century era.
