Sculpted mid century bowl in sommerso with murrines, cane, and gold foil. The sommerso transition from the plum colored rim to the lattimo exterior allows considerable visual depth to the murrine arrangement. This porcelain cat was produced in Germany by Hutschenreuther in the 1950s. It is 5 inches high and 6 1/4 inches long. It is nicely modeled and hand painted. The cat almost looks like he is smiling. It is a cat with character and a great find for a cat collector. Condition: Excellent

This large carved ivory beauty is a 1950’s product. It depicts a young lady (quite possibly an image of a fairy) holding a flower basket in one hand and a branch of peony blossoms in the other. There is a phoenix leaning on her left side. She is almost 14 ¾” high, 3 ¼” wide and 2 ¾” thick. It is in excellent condition.

Exquisite Barovier bowl and pestle set profusely filled with an aventurine gold spiral pattern on the interior with an exterior thread of blue/green lattimo. The rim of the bowl has a scissor cut which lends a dramatic modern aesthetic to the form. It is unusual to find these sets together. This one is a beauty! It is 7"x2"h, in excellent condition, unmarked, but clearly Barovier.

A very rare 5 panel bride’s noren. The bottom of the curtain has a lovely delicate aqua wash. Traditionally the bride would hang this curtain in the doorway for about 2 weeks after she was married to announce that she was a member of the new family and that she has taken her husband’s family crest. There are a few minor age spots in the cream/off white area, but otherwise the curtain is in excellent condition...
