A contemplative and artistic rendering of a lotus leaf bowl with deteriorated edges. The lotus is a symbol of purity, beauty and a metaphor in teaching Buddhism. The lotus bowl has a small frog sitting on the leaf's edge with outstretched leg. The underside of the leaf bowl has 3 characters of the artist's signature.

In Marc Heiremans' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO this "a canne ritorte" design is documented on page 82. The execution and finish of this fazzoletto confirm the Murano Artisans' mastery of working with Glass and would be a fine addition to any serious collection of 20th Century Murano Glass. The pontil mark on the bottom has been carved out and polished, indicating careful attention to details. The piece measures 4 1/2"H x 6" D. Condition is perfect.

Hongshan Nephrite Jade Toggle Pendant of a free standing bird. Nice carving of a stylized bird brown jade with white tremolite growth. Collected in Hk 1980-1995 weight 56G size 2.75" by 2".

This very well carved 20th century Japanese netsuke is 1 ½ inches high, 1 ¼ inches wide and a little more than 1 ¼ inches thick. It depicts a mouse bending over, scratching his chin. It is signed “Shozan”. The carving and polishing are just great and it is in excellent condition.

This really pretty Paneled Grape Ruby Flashed 3 3/4 inch high Sherbet was made by Westmoreland Glass from 1940 to 1982. This Sherbet measures 3 1/8 inches in diameter at the top. Chinese monochrome gourd-shaped vase, made of glazed raspberry porcelain. The vase could be considered an item of good fortune, as gourds symbolize luck and fertility in Chinese culture. Qianlong mark on bottom, 20th century. Size: 8.5" tall, 4" wide

This lovely cushion cover from Swat Valley is densely embroidered in mustard and salmon floss-silk thread in darning stitch on a black cotton ground. The motifs are typical of the embroidery of Swat and Hazara regions of Pakistan, geometric and curvilinear motifs outlined in yellow running stitch. The textile is in excellent condition and features a slit on the back for a pillow insert. It measures 38 x 38 cm. Estimated age: mid to late 20th century.
