This headdress would have been worn by a young Pashtun woman. It is heavily beaded and decorated with wonderful embroidery, and various buttons and coins. The Pashtun range across Afghanistan, Pakistan and Northern India. This hat was sourced in India but it may not have started there.

The head dress hat is 25 inches long and is in excellent condition.

This is a fabulous woven silk fukusa designed with Japanese tastes in mind. It is woven in silk with the addition of gold lacquered silk threads. Each of the four corners has four turtle tassels. The reverse side is red with a gold paulownia mon also woven with god threads. This is a very striking piece and makes a superb interior design statement. In excellent condition, it measures 24.5” square. We date this to mid-Showa.

Figurine of Cai Shen, God of Prosperity, with his sceptre, c 1930 or possibly 1944. Enameled in Famille Rose colours, the face left unglazed but painted. Impressed Chinese lettering to the base, and 44. Height "5 ½/ 14 cm. Condition: fine.

Japanese silk fukusa with yuzen technique and sumi-e hand painting. The shimmering effect of the water was achieved by the delicate use of silver surihaku. Red embroidery on the crane’s head and some white embroidery on tail feathers highlight those features. On the reverse is red rinzu silk with a large peony motif. All four original tassels are still intact. There is a break in the boarder thread in the upper left corner (see last photo) but could be repaired...

Japanese Banko marbleware teapots, 1930’s. Enamelled decoration of flowers – irises and maple leaves to one pot. Unmarked. Height "3 ½/ 8,5 cm, width from spout to handle "6/ 15 cm. Together with a similar miniature pot (no lid), marked, height "1½/ 4 cm. The exterior unglazed, the insides glazed. Both pieces very thinly potted, translucent to the light, making all the different shades of clay visible. Condition: fine.

During the 70's Hambleton ran a gallery on Nantucket, Massachusetts where his sculptures were featured.

This powerful, well rendered and heavy work stands appx. 19" tall.

An elegant Art Deco ruby glass cocktail shaker with sterling silver overlay in a grapevine pattern. The glass has a very intense ruby coloring, and the bottom has a polished pontil-a reliable sign of quality glass. Each side of the shaker is enhanced with a stylized grapevine motif worked in sterling silver overlay. The shaker is finished with a chrome-plated top.

Origin: America, ca. 1935. Condition: excellent, all original, no chips or cracks, no splits to metal. Size: 11-1/4".

This is sleek and very elegant Bohemian art glass wine goblet. It is pre 1920s but after 1880s. They have a banded inverted cone shape base and a bowl cut in a leaf design.

Each glass is 7" tall. The opening of the bowl is 2 1/2" in diameter.

These Westmoreland brandywine blue opalescent candlesticks are 5" tall. Produced in 1971. The pair are in excellent condition.

A republic or Qing dynasty style brushwasher, globular body and unglazed base, possibly products of 1920s or earlier. Fostoria made two kinds of Morning Glory. One etched and the other sand carved. This sand carved bowl was made between 1939-44. It is in excellent condition.

This Cambridge Wildflower 3-part, 3-handled covered candy was made somewhere between 1940-58. It is 8" across and in excellent condition.

deLillo combines beautiful, rich colored glass cabochons with tiny clear rhinestones to create this handsome hinged bracelet. Heavy gold plate and chunky. As with all the deLillo pieces that we share with you, this bracelet was designed and executed by Robert Clark, chief designer for the House of deLillo. Elegant set by deLillo made of black and fuchsia crystals. Each flower head has been hand wired and the center of each flower head is a tiny matte jet flower--a flower within a flower. Note the beautiful filigree backing that adds sparkle through the crystal flower faces. Designed and hand done by Robert Clark, Chief designer for the House of deLillo. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Shelley before 1950. The numbers 1301/101 are on the bottom. This may be a pattern identification. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The cup is can shaped. The set has an overlay of gilding which covers all of the white area on each piece. It is reminiscent of chintz...
