Chinese wooden carving of Kwan Yin, the goddess of mercy, riding a dragon. The Kwan Yin is holding a wish granting pearl and a ruyi scepter; both represent the powers of Kwan Yin who is thought to grant wishes and aid sentient beings. Kwan Yin is made of Longan wood Age: 20th century. Size: Height 25.5" Width 6.3" Length 8.5"

Modern sterling silver picture frame. Rectangular window in plain and flat surround. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged easel support for portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal) photo. Marked “Raimond / Sterling”. Raimond Silver Mfg Co. was a Massachusetts maker active in the 1960s and ‘70s. Very good condition with crisp corners. Some velvet wear and discoloration.

Dark glaze covers this beautifully crafted Koro from Kawai Kanjiro dating circa 1936 enclosed in the original signed wooden box. It is 11.5 x 9 x 8.5 cm (4-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches) excluding the lid and is in excellent condition. The lid is of exotic hardwood with an agate finial, and is a later addition (Kanjiro did not make lids for his koro). For similar examples see the Katsukawa collection published in the biblical tome by the Kyoto National Museum of Modern Art...

Humia, Nepal Shaman Mask, 15.5 inches, 39.5 cm.

This lovely candlestick features Hiesey's very popular upside-down Orchids and bows. The Orchid pattern was produced between 1940 and 1957, and this one still bears its foil Heisey label. The taper will fit in the deep hole of the flared and knobbed candle holder. It measures 4 3/4" across the foot and stands 3 3/4" high. This lovely is in excellent, unused condition. Insurance and confirmation are included in the price.

Pair Rosewood hand carved Wall Bracket, Display Shelf, or hanging Stand, heavy weight yet very delicate Rococo style, 13" high, 14" wide, 7" deep in the center top. The condition is good. I have few smaller sizes, please inquire.

Graffito is scratched into the white crackled glaze of this bowl by world renowned artist Kumakura Junkichi (1920-1985) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. A fairly large Korean style Buddhist painting portraying the image of the Water Moon Avalokitesvara or Suwol Gwaneum in Korean. The Avalokitesvara is dressed in vestments and accessories common to the figure of a Bodhisattva and has the water vessel which offers blessings to all sentient beings. The bodhisattva is attended by a boy figure known as shan nanzi who often seen in pictorial and textual depictions in East Asian Buddhism. Age: 20th century. Size: height 105.5" width 53"

This small textile features 25 small mirrors ("shisha") and measures 8.2 x 17.8 cm. There are supposed to be 26 mirrors but one of them is missing, either intentionally or not. Silk and metallic thread on cotton, densely embroidered throughout, with very fine button hole stitching and Romanian couching technique in the center. Mid to late 20th century. Condition is excellent.
