Japanese early 20th century bronze water lily design vase. By artist, BOKUZEN. Comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 11 1/8" tall by 7" wide at the widest point.

Pompoms adorn the edges of this densely embroidered textile made by the Kakarh tribe of Afghanistan. Metallic couching combined with Holbein, herringone and satin stitching characterize this piece. The reverse side is lined in plainweave striped cotton. The Kakarh have descendants in western provinces of Pakistan but are mostly found in Afghanistan and eastern Iran. This textile is in perfect condition and measures 20 x 31 1/2 inches (50.8 x 80 cm). Estimated age: mid 20th century.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the #1114 4 1/2 inch finger or mayo bowl in Emerald. Excellent condition, price is per bowl. Tableware is very difficult to find in this pattern, so get them while you can. A folding pillow made of wood used on travel. It has two cushions made of cotton velour. Women had a largely fixed hair with wearing kimono, so this kind was used. It has carved letters "Beppu" and the scenery, so that it was made or sold there. Beppu is famous for onen, hot spa, located in Oita prefecture in Kyushu. In good condition. The first half of the 20th century. L:21.5cm, W:5.8cm (folded)

Classic vase form in mezza filigrana using lattimo and transparent copper blue threads. The form is augmented with side applications of basilica rope in crystal with gold aventurine and a crimped crystal lip decoration with gold aventurine. Measuring 6"dia.x 9"h., the vase is in excellent condition and bears portions of its round silver foil Made in Italy label described in Leslie Pina's ITALIAN GLASS, page 15.
