Stoneware bowl by Annikki Hovisaari (1918-1974) for Arabia, Finland. Of rough structure, chamotted, the white clay with numerous dark specks and covered by a thin, matted glaze. Incised signature AH and Arabia. Height "2¾/ 7 cm, diameter "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine.

Vintage Japanese sunburst jasper obidome (sash ornament). Obidome is worn on an obi cord that holds the obi sash together, it is the only type of jewelry worn by Japanese women on formal occasions, and could serve as netsuke as well. Nice stone, natural lines in the material, beautiful finish, very pleasant to handle. Brass frame with two fittings on the back for a cord. Length 1.6 inches.

Japanese framed woodblock print by artist Hasui Kawase (1883-1957), depicting a man walking down a cobblestone path to the beach. Markings include Hasui's red chop and signature, publisher seals in left margin, red chop in bottom left corner.

Being offered is an exceptional, early and rare, early circa 1943 sterling silver bowl by William Spratling, of Taxco, Mexico. Handwrought bowl featuring three applied half domes surrounded by an incised and oxidized pattern near the rim. Dimensions: a large 10 inches diameter by 4 inches tall. Marked as illustrated in photo. Weight just shy of 17 ozs. In excellent condition.

The Cube, or Cubist, pattern was made by Jeannette Glass Company from 1929 to 1933. It's often confused with Fostoria's American pattern and for good reason: both were designed by the same man. A vintage Georg Jensen hammered Sterling Silver ladle, designed by Jensen himself in 1916. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval Sterling and Denmark.

Measures about 7 1/2" long, and 2 7/8" across the bowl. Weighs 81 Gr.

Fine condition, lightly hammered. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Measuring 63 x 88 inches (160 x 224 cm), this hand-embroidered wedding shawl from the remote region of Indus Kohistan in northeast Pakistan is estimated to date to the mid or late 20th century. Worked in extremely fine cross stitch and satin stitch in silk thread in interlocking geometric motifs and embellished with beaded edges, a textile such as this may take up to six months to produce. This shawl is embroidered on a black cotton ground and is in excellent condition.

A vintage Japanese Tansu called Honbako (book chest) made of dark stained Momiji (Maple) and Tochinoki (Horse Chestnut) woods with an interior made of Kiri (Paulownia). Single hinged door secures a spacious area where books were kept and 5 filing drawers where flats and documents were stored. Below the door is one large drawer where valuables were kept. All original bronze hardware.

Kokeshi, folk toy of NE Japan. Wood, Height 9.625". Zao-kei (Zao Onsen [hot spirng]), Yamagata Prefecture. Made by Oumiya Yasumitsu, who was born in Showa 11 (1936) and passed away on July 19, 1995. Probably made in the mid-late 1970's.
