Sterling Silver wide rim of low relief design and beautifully Cut and Etched heavy clear Crystal Dish or Coaster, 1930's, 5 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high, sterling rim size is 5/8" wide, high quality, marked "Sterling", "3826-9" on the side underneath. This is a very nice fine quality Coaster. The condition is good.

This unique figurine of a peasant boy carrying a sack, clearly demonstrates the artistic virtuosity of the Murano glass artists. It is highly unusual for a figurine to have hollow legs to support such tall statue. (We have only seen a similar figurine in Venice.) This Murano sculpture is superbly crafted and highly unusual in its clarity using only a subtle iridescence to accent the beauty of the Glass. This unique beauty stands 13" tall and is in excellent condition.

There are a few splits to the base and this figure has been clear coated long ago but its bubbling off and could be totally removed with little effort. Pilgrim's hanten made of thin white cotton with many stamps of the sacred sites that are called "Shodo-shima Hachiju-Hachi-kasho Reijo (Shodo Island 88 holy places) located in Kagawa prefecture in Shikoku. The pilgrimage route was opened in late 17th century. The head band has stamps from Omine-san (Mt.Omine) in Nara prefecture. No sign of a place in the belly band.
