A boxed set of six pewter decanter labels or bottle tags for Scotch, rye, bourbon, gin, vodka and brandy by Stieff for Historic Newport. Newport, RI was one of the most important pewter-making cities of Colonial America, and these tags are made according the 18th century models.
Origin: America, ca. 1976. Condition: excellent. Dimensions: 2-5/8 x 1-1/4" (excluding chains).

The size of Screen: 24” Long x 24 1/8” High(center) x 3/4” Thick. Each panel is 7 1/8” wide. This is 4 panel screen done in black lacquer finish. The screen has violin and other ornaments design. The screen is hand-painted on black lacquer with wooden body. Origin of screen unknown, but I believe form Japan. The age of screen is about 40-50 years old. The condition of screen excellent. Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with rich multicolored ribbon core and four pink petaled flowers with yellow stamens. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see the individual stamens and finely textured petals, in perfect condition. Height 0.8 inches.
Large folk art hooked cotton rug of a maroon horse outlined in black and with black hooves and tail trotting to the left against a tan ground with maroon corners and blue bands to enclose the horse. Some of the ground hooked in squares of different shades. Dots of brown for nose, eye and in the tail. 22 by 35 inches.

This is a very attractive Cloisonne jewelry chest from Inaba. It is a vintage piece, but still there a lot of work that went into this jewelry chest. It is decorated all over. There are two working drawers and both sides of the doors are also decorated. In the bottom area is a wind-up musical mechanism, that does work. The Phoenix Bird decoration on the top is very nicely done. The box is very heavy and it measures 7 1/4 inches tall, 6 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep...

This lovely New Martinsville Radiant plate shows the radiating cut tear drops that form the collar foot under this plate. The Prelude etch is bright and bold surrounding the rim of this serving tray. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Meissen in the mid 20th century. The saucer has a diameter of
4 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The cup features an entwined branch handle. The set is decorated with brightly colored flowers, realistically hand painted. The flowers on both pieces match. There is gold trim on the rims.

India 19th c hand carved stone spice bowls, used throughout India in traditional homes these spice bowls are carved in a variety of stone these are mostly seatite . Highlighting our trip back to the years of change in the sixties and seventies is this masterpiece by Miyashita Zenji exhibited in 1972. The box is titled Ban, Shizukana Kukan no Tame ni (Basin, For a Quiet Space) and signed Zenji-saku, dated inside Showa 47 (1972) with a notation stating this piece was displayed at the 2nd Gendai Nihon Shinjin Sakka Ten (2nd Modern Japanese New Artists Exhibition).
