Offered is this beautiful, 'Osiris'-type art glass vase with applied handles, made most likely, by Stevens & Williams in England, around 1890. Probably the 'Pull-up' machine, invented by John Northwood (when he was Artistic Director at Stevens & Williams), was used for the zippered pattern on the vase. The vase is 9 inches (23 cm) tall and 5 inches wide. It is in good condition. The handles on the vase fluoresce in a gentle-green coloration, typical of 19th century soda-lime glass...

Antique cloth doll with center seam face, nice pinched nose, bead eyes with feather stitched eyebrows. She has a tiny red floss stitched mouth. She has leather arms in poor condition but they really look original, long shaped legs and turned feet. Her body is skillfully sewn and is firmly stuffed with cotton. She has a very large derriere that allows her to sit easily. She is made with black sateen fabric. She has a few mends but is in good solid condition. Her dress is sewn and is in shreds...

OLD 1890’s Venetian SALVIATI SEA HORSE Art Glass Compote Base!!! The piece is the bottom half of a compote, but its extremely rare to find one anywhere! The last one I saw sold for over $5,000!!! Large, iron figural standing mirror, c.1870. Very decorative - cherubs, women fairies, flowers, hearts, & torch and arrows make up this intricately designed mirror - see photos. It measures 15" wide by 16" long and is extremely heavy. Metalwork is in excellent condition but mirror can use some re-silvering, if desired. Would sit on a dresser but has a back loop for hanging. Teapot, milk jug, cup and saucer, a solitaire service made by the Carl Knoll factory in Czech Carlsbad / Karlovy Vary. Cross-striped like the Victorian bathing-suits – just a coincidence or might there be a thought behind this design? Carlsbad was a fashionable 19th century spa, famous for its hot springs. Impressed mark for 1848 – 1868. Height of teapot "4 ½ / 11 cm including handle, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 14 cm. Condition: a nick to the cup (cf. pics).

On a cold October day in 1977, an auction of the former estate of Dr. T.D.M. Wilson of Washington, Pennsylvania, took place. Japanese scroll painted with ink and colors on silk depicting a spotted stag by a stream among reeds under a moon about to be obscured by clouds. Great composition with alert beast looking into the background hidden in beautifully depicted mist. Wonderful quality realistic painting, superb brushwork - see the detailing of hairs on its coat. Paper and silk mounts, wooden scroll ends. Signed GANEN and marked with red paste seal. Scroll size 68x19 inches, painting size 40x16 inches.

Red, white, and navy blue hand woven wool coverlet, early 19th century, measuring 91" long by 74" wide. Woven in two equal sections, three fringed sides have the design shown in photos 1,3 & 4. The 4th side is hemmed and without the design. Excellent condition except for the hemmed edge which has holes along that side. Wonderful birds, stars, and flowers patterned coverlet of wool and cotton hand woven in two sections and signed "MADE BY D.SNYDER HANOVER TOWNSCHIP NOR T.CO 1840" and is signed on the four corners with fringed edges. The coverlet has birds on three side and flowers on one side. The colors are red, blue, and mustard on an off white background.
