Pair of of Chinese antique spinach green jade plaques. Each is hand carved with a scene of bamboo and another flowering plant with butterflies overhead, all within an incised circle border. Gilt highlights the incised design of both. The reverse of each has been left bare. The stands are later.

This really pretty amber, with Gold trim, 8 Sided, Footed Comport, was made by McKee Glass. The Comport measures 3 inches high X 9 3/4 inches in diameter across the top. Large impressive antique Japanese Kyo-Satsuma-yaki vase. Various flowers and butterflies surround the vase between an accordian style border which is repeated on the collar of the vase. All set on a blue ground and outlined in gilt. The inside and the base glazed clear to reveal a light crackle...

Cotton cloth which used to be obi (sash) for a casual kimono. It has hand-drawn tsutsugaki design. It was "Nagoya obi" which was invented in early 20th century to make it easier to tie in the traditional style. In good condition but has folded line in the center (about a half length ) and some stains in the back. Mid 20th century. 32.5cm x 4m28cm

A very uncommon graduated sterling silver handled jigger by one of Mexico’s most important Art Deco and modernist silversmiths, Juvento Lopez Reyes. He opened his studio, Plateria del Recreo in 1935, making most streamlined hollowware items in the Art Deco and modernist taste. The base is fully stamped with mark used by Reyes in the 1930s and 40s. The stepped sides of the jigger mark off .5, 1, 1.5 and 2-oz levels.

Origin: Mexico, ca. 1940...

Lacquer over wood picnic set in an open carrier; consisting on the top tier of a small rectangular box, presumably for utensils, and five small trays. Below them is a covered three tier jubako box. The black lacquer is incised in places and otherwise decorated with gilt and silver blossom sprays. A small copper/brass handle is on the top. Many of the edges are gilt. It is 9 5/8 inches (24.5 cm) tall, 9 5/8 inches (24.5 cm) wide and 7 ¼ inches (18.3 cm) deep. 20th century...

A wonderful translucent blue celadon dish decorated with a low-relief floral motif. This piece was made by one of the few great female Japanese potters of the 20th century—Suwa Sozan II, daughter of Meiji Imperial Court Artist Sozan I.

Suwa Sozan I (1852—1922) was born in an area of what is known today as Ishikawa prefecture. After a short stint in the military he took up pottery design and painting under Touda Tokuji in 1873...

This is an absolutely beautiful Moser vase, measuring 12" tall x 3 3/4" wide. It is green to clear with deep intaglio lilies that are exquisitely done. This vase is in mint condition.

Unusual sterling silver bird, an eagle or phoenix, from Taxco, Mexico. Designed and produced in the early 1950's, the intricately detailed head, neck, feathers, legs and feet are attached to the body which is a hard stone egg. In excellent condition, this rare find stands 5" high by 3.25" head to tail.

Being offered is a rare and charming circa 1950 sterling silver pitcher by Los Castillo of Taxco, Mexico. Handcrafted modernist form, perfect size for the bar or elsewhere, with a hand carved wooden handle. Dimensions: 7 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches diameter; 7 inches from handle to spout. No monogram.
