This Bizen stoneware sake bottle is made with natural ash glaze.
The works of Motoyama Izumi are held in Brooklyn Museum in New York.
Bizen pottery was originally produced in Imbe village of Bizen province since Kamakura period of 14th century.

Offered is cased, high-quality, vintage microscope slide stage. Precision manufactured by the Spencer Lens Company of Buffalo N.Y., this scientific instrument is in excellent condition. The stage fits perfectly into a velvet lined mahogany case and dates to the early 20th century.

In the high valleys of Indus Kohistan the children still wear hats such as this one, made of tent stitch, fine cross stitch and metallic amulets to ward off the evil eye. Silk thread on cotton ground, accented with beading, sea shells, pompoms, and metal trinkets. Estimated age mid 20th century. Condition of this hat is excellent. No holes, no fraying, no stains. Diameter is 7 inches, circumference 18 inches.

A basket made of akebi (Akebia quinata) vine which is from Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district. In excellent condition, no break. The first half of the 20th century.

A very pleasing set of 7 linen cocktail napkins with appliqués of rooster heads. The napkins are beautifully finished along the edges with red buttonhole stitching. Completely hand sewn. Circa 1940. Excellent condition, no staining or other wear. Size: 5” x 8”.

silk meisen lined kimono with dots which are double kasuri, both warp and weft are katazome dyed(stencil-resist-dye). In excellent condition except for a spot in the front panel, but it is folded inside and unseen when it is worn. Mid 20th century. 122cm x 151cm
20th century Murano glass bell by Fratelli Toso is constructed of multi-colored murrine with crystal handle. The Bell has a satin finish and retains the rooster and KB labels. At 5.25"h x 2.75"w, the Bell is in excellent condition
Chogappo made of fragments of white choma (ramie) whose weft and warp are hand-plied. Natural color fragments are mixture of choma and silk. "Pojagi" is the general name for the wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is patchworked with asa (mainly choma, ramie) fragments.(reference source: "Korean Embroidery and Wrapping Cloths from the Choson Dynasty" published by Japan Art & Culture Association in 1995). Antique silver button collectors look at this set of four antique Far Eastern Chinese export foo dog lion or dragon motif repousse chased unmarked silver buttons. Although unmarked, they test at least 90% silver, yet may be sterling.

Early vintage Chinese bracelet with a pale green carved chalcedony centerpiece knotted to three strands of cobalt blue Chinese Peking glass beads. The beads and centerpiece are strung with matching blue thread with what appear to be the original Chinese knots. PLEASE NOTE: This piece has possibly been shortened or altered from its original form, since in the middle, the strands are sewn together by the knots, with blue thread. The strands are therefore not continuously hand knotted together...
This is a nice example of the ubiquitous "doga", embroidered talismans common to all the Turkic peoples of Central Asia. This amulet was made to protect the family from any evil influences from the world outside from affecting family health and harmony. This doga is from Bamiyan province, Afghanistan. Circa mid to late 20th century. Condition is overall good but there are some small sections of embroidery that are a little worn out...

One Japanese porcelain mamezara (bean, or appetizer, dish.) Fine blue and white decoration of a landscape on one panel and particularly fine shades of blue decoration of a flowering prunus branch on another. Karakusa decoration on the back. A beautiful old agate necklace with two pieces of old turquoise, in excellent condition. L:40cm
A sweet sterling silver baby ring and teething rattle. The central silver piece shows a clock face where hands can be engraved to indicate the time of birth along with the date, year and the infant's weight. The back side can be engraved with the baby's name. The rattle is suspended in a lucite faux mother-of-pearl teething ring. These rattles are very difficult to find with no monograms or other engraving.
