This is a hinggi from east Sumba, probably dated to the mid to late 20th century. The weave technique is warp ikat, plain woven and hand spun cotton. It measures 132.08 x 274.32 cm and is in immaculate condition. Ikat is a resist-dye method of patterning textiles. Prior to weaving, the maker ties the warp and/or weft threads tightly and immerses them in a dye bath. The tied sections resist the dye...

Well crafted Chinese carved lapis alligator on wood stand, early to mid 20th century period, measurements are 6 1/2"L x 2 1/2"H x 3"D, no condition issues.

Small rug or zokin made of cotton fragments recycled from old kimono or futonji, which are hand-spun and vegetable indigo dye. It has sashiko (quilting) and two to four layers of cloth. The first half of the 20th century. 43cm x 49cm

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 8.5". This is an example of the "Naruko-kei" tradition of Miyagi Prefecture. The artisan, Akiyama Tadaichi, was born in Meiji 34 (1901) and passed away on May 19th, 1984 (Showa 59.) An unsigned Moser style cordial standing 6 inches high. The colorless 4 3/4 inch tall stem is topped by a 1 1/4 inch tall cup decorated with 2 blue marquetry plums and engraved leaves and stems in green. There is no pontil mark and the cordial is perfect.

This really nice pair of, vintage, crystal, Iris and Herringbone depression glass Double Branch Candlesticks Candle Holders were made by Jeannette Glass from 1928 to 1932. Each Candlestick measures 6 inches wide across the top X 5 inches high. The base measures 4 3/8 inches in diameter. Both Candlesticks are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. A Korean whitish brass incense burner with cover that was used during family Confucian ceremonies. The lid is cut with the eight diagrams which will give the owner protection from misfortune and assure prosperity and happiness. The burner measure about 7 1/2" high x 4 3/4" in diameter, and dates to the early 20th Century Condition: The Condition is excellent.
