This fine pair of Italian lamps came with a store tag attached to one of the switches that said, "Quackenbush Co. Patterson NJ. This was a local department store that existed from the 1800's to the early 1950's, a fact which provides us a date. The lamps appear to have never been used, in excellent condition and are a nicely matched pair On close inspection one can see that the lamps are hand made , yet nearly identical, pointing to the expertise of the Murano Glass Artisans.

Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.

A classic late Art Deco or early modernist porcelain water jug advertising Ricard Anisette. In the south of France, tradition dictates that anise-flavored aperitifs should be served with water to dilute the drink. Makers such as Ricard and Pernod provided advertising pitchers to local bars and cafes to increase their sales. This squared-off rectangular form is less common than the traditional globe-shaped pitcher and became popular after World War II...

"Frence hand painted" mark French Porcelain fluted marquise shape small Dish, maybe Samson Porcelain factory, 1960's, 1" high, 4" 3 1/4" wide, beautifully raised enamel painted of Pomegranate branch in the center inside border of scrolling vines with lots of brilliant gold highlighted. Attractive sommerso stylized water bird is documented in Leslie Pinas' book ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO, page 126-7, valued there at $1000-1200. This is a fine sculptural interpretation of the natural environment of the Venetian Lagoon, which has provided inspiration to centuries of Murano glassblowers. Measuring 15.5", this Archimede Seguso masterpiece is in excellent condition, unmarked.

Fine and rare four paneled skirt, from the Meifu subgroup of the Li people Hainan Island, circa mid 20th century. These kinds of textiles are unique among Chinese minority weavings as they combine supplementary weft brocade and tie dye ikat techniques. The colored threads in the brocaded panel are a combination of silk, cotton, and polyester while the rest of the skirt is hand spun cotton and indigo in an abstract and zoomorphic design. The size of Trinket Box: 2 3/8" Long x 1 1/4" W x 2 1/4" High. This is very adorable French Porcelain Limoges Trinket Pig Box. It is all hand painted. The subject of Little lady pig taking the nap on the blue cushion with semi bikini. Inside box has her bikini top as well as sunglass and necklace. Offered is this beautiful, large and heavy Murano glass bowl with 'ovals', made most likely, by Barovier & Toso. The bowl is approximately 14 inches (35 cm) wide and 6 1/2 inches (16,5 cm) tall. It is in very good condition, without chips, cracks or repairs. Polished pontil. Unsigned, as expected - these 'oval' decor was typical of Ercole Barovier (please refer to page 34 of Leslie Pina's book, 'Italian Glass century 20', for an Ercole Barovier designed vase with blue ovals).

Offered is this exceptional set of Murano glass 'Nerox', covered jars, made by Fratelli Toso around 1960 - the jars were designed by Ermanno Toso. The taller jar is 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 4 inches (10 cm) wide. The tall jar is in excellent condition - even the lid is present and is without chips, cracks etc (most of these rare jars, when available, are without lids, converted to lamps, etc). The shorter jar has a couple of inner-rim chips (unseen when lid is in place)...

New Martinsville Lyre Compote in Crystal. stands 5.5" tall and is 7" across the top. In mint condition.

Sculpted modern sommerso bowl in crystal glass profusely infused with silver foil. The form casts a rich golden hue similar to the colors one finds around Venice at certain times of day. The form is in excellent condition, measures 5"x5"x2"h, unmarked.

Bubble was produced by Anchor Hocking from the 1940's through 1965. The sapphire blue color is a beautiful light blue unlike any other depression era color.
