This sterling silver bracelet features six handmade panels constructed of four horizontal bands of sterling. The top band is plain and gilded, and is applied to the second band with a textured surface. The third band is decorated with an applied abstract line of silver with three tiny silver beads, and is attached to a fourth undecorated band. The back of each panel is signed D.K. and 925; the panels are connected by scored hinges. The fold-over clasp is very secure and quite tight-fitting. The bracelet measures about 8 1/4 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 27.2 grams.

A substantial bangle bracelet decorated with impressed and oxidized geometric designs. The pattern goes all the way around the bangle and appears to be random, giving it a quirky yet sophisticated look. It is marked sterling and dates around 1970 or earlier. This bold studio piece is composed of a hand-wrought half-moon shaped pendant decorated with applied wires and impressed lines arranged randomly. It is suspended horizontally by a chain of forged wire bars connected by beaded rivets. The bib-like pendant is beautifully balanced to sit comfortably at the collarbone; the front hook closure makes for ease of fastening and removal. The reverse of the pendant bears the sterling mark on one end and a maker’s mark of sp on the other. The necklace measures roughly 19 inches long; the pendant drops about 1 3/4 inches. These charming earrings have a delicate look but are sturdily made; they sit vertically on the ear. The screw backs are quite secure, and are marked sterling. The center of one bow shows a small manufacturing flaw. The earrings measure 1 inch long by 5/8 inch . Weight: 6.6 grams total

This sterling and parcel gilt link bracelet is composed of cast turbaned heads; the headdresses are gilded. There is a secure hook closure, with no signs of metal stress. Composed of curved openwork panels formed as highly stylized bird heads, possibly eagles, with a pre-Columbian influence. The tongue-and-groove clasp is original and very secure for this substantial bracelet. It is bears the circular mark for Pedro Castillo, who worked for Spratling and Aguilar in the 1930s and started his own taller in the 1940s (per Bille Hougart’s ‘Little Book’ of Mexican silver marks, p. 41). It measures 7 ½ inches long, taking into account the curved panels, by 7/8 inch wide. The detached security chain can be removed or re-attached, depending on buyer preference. Weight: 83.8 grams

This bracelet was made by an unknown jeweler who produced a variety of pins and bracelets, often decorated with his signature applied calla lilies and gold-filled leaves. Each calla lily is hand-applied to a horizontal frame, alternating with vertical rectangular panels with a lightly hammered look. The connecting links are securely soldered; the safety chain is original and attaches with a spring ring. The bracelet’s clasp consists of a flat folded piece of silver that firmly hooks onto a squared ring soldered to the other end. The hook is marked sterling; the other end is marked sterling & 1/20 12K.G.F. The bracelet measures 7 1/2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. (For another example of this maker’s work, see Item #830376.) Five large cabochons with pink banding are set in sterling silver frames that are deeply oxidized and embossed with a ridged design. They are linked by oblong rings that are similarly decorated. The highly polished stones are securely prong set and show no scratches or other signs of wear; they may be rhodochrosites, which were popular in the 1950s. The fold-over clasp is very secure and in good working order. The bracelet is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling. It measures 7 3/8 inches long by about 5/8 inch wide; the cabochons are about 3/8 inch high.

Reminiscent of Scandinavian style, this bracelet features lovely openwork panels molded with graceful calla lilies. The panels are securely linked with ribbed sterling bands; the back of one panel bears an applied plaque with a patent number of 121373, which was granted in 1940 to Victor Primavera, who founded Danecraft. It has a secure hook clasp. The bracelet measures about 7 ¼ inches long by about 1 inch wide. Weight: 22.9 grams

Composed of five connected sterling panels, each decorated with two applied sterling calla lilies and gilded leaves. The flap clasp is very secure, as are all connecting rings; the sterling safety chain has a spring-ring clasp. The flap has an indecipherable mark, possibly for a maker, between the mark for sterling and the mark for gold content: 1/20 10kt G.F. (for gold-filled). The bracelet measures 7 ¼ inches long, including the clasp, and just under 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 57.9 grams

A dramatic, well-made sterling silver necklace of beveled links suspending a three-tiered pendant. The pendant is composed of three overlapping linked pieces of graduated size formed as rounded vertical elements with flattened tops and teardrop-shaped flattened ends. The entire piece is linked with securely soldered rings; the hook closure is hand worked. The necklace is not marked; it tests definitively for sterling silver. The chain part of the necklace measures 23 1/2 inches end to end; the pendant drops 4 5/8 in. and measures 2 in. at its widest area. Weight: 82.9 grams

An abstract design, the pendant is set with what appears to be blue indicolite, which is a type of tourmaline, or blue jade. It is marked sterling on the reverse. The chain is composed of linked sterling edged rods, and is marked Italy and sterling on the flattened jump ring. One rod is slightly bent. The entire clasped necklace measures 18 inches long; the pendant is 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide.

A clever design composed of three forged wires terminating in curls at each end. The bracelet is handmade and quite sturdy. It bears a mark inside one curl of a three-lobed cypher and STG, possibly for sterling. The metal shows a very strong test for silver. The bracelet has a 6 ½-inch internal circumference, which includes a 1 1/4–inch opening; it is ¼ inch wide. Weight: 21 grams

Decorated with an applied twisted rope design. Very sturdy, with impressive heft and a classic look. The cuff measures 1 inch wide, with an inner circumference of 7 inches, an inner diameter of 2 1/2 inches, and an opening of 1 1/16 inch at the terminals. Weight: 78.1 grams

These sterling silver minimalist earrings are formed as abstract triangles, each with an undecorated surface. They have a nice patina from age, and look to have been hardly worn; dating is the 1960s. They have working clip backs, and the mark of Brdr. Bjørklund, Copenhagen, on the back. They measure 1 1/4 at the longest point, and a little over 3/4 inch at their widest point.
