A circular red lacquer incense box imitating carved lacquer. The lid decorated with a rakan riding on a kylin. Black lacquer to the interior and with an old label: "Laque de Nara / donné par M. Morita". Condition: rims with tiny losses, lid inside with a crack and glue residue, base with some wear. Dimension: diameter: 7.8 cm, 2.4 cm high.

A rare octagonal porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue with a flowering bush by a rock, along the border stylized Chinese characters. The rim glazed brown, the base with three spur marks and a "fuku" mark within a double square. Dating to the early Edo period. Condition: well with little scratches, rim with 3 tiny frits and two chips, and one chip under the glaze (photo 8). Dimension: diameter: 20 cm, 3.2 cm high.

A small fan painting by an anonymous painter of the Tosa School in ink, colors and gold on paper. Mounted on goldfleck paper. Depicting a battle scene of the "Tale of the Heike", an epic account of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century. This fan painting probably belongs to the same set of illustrations of the "Heike Monogatari" in the Museum of Asian Art in Berlin. Condition: slightly browned, some pigments rubbed...

A large Japanese sashi netsuke carved from stag antler, depicting the mythical Chinese fisherman Ashinaga with his long legs. The face is carved very expressively and the natural himotoshi (cord hole) is running through his curled hair. Condition: nice patina. Dimension: 17.8 cm long.

Finely engraved small bronze altar of Vishnu with his consorts Shridevi and Bhudevi, cast in five parts. The three gods standing under an arch with a kirthi-mukha at the apex, the base of each figure slotting into the frame. Karnataka / Maharashtra 19th century. From a Swiss lady's private collection. A porcelain hat stand painted in the Qianjiang palette with a young lady contemplating a flower twig at the window. Inscribed with calligraphy in black, dated "ji hai" corresponding to 1899 and signed "Gao Xintian". Base with stamped iron red mark "Guangxu". Condition: no repairs and cracks - little wear to painting and gilt rim. Dimension: 27.8 cm high, diameter: 11.6 cm.

A rare pair Korean badges for a civil official, dating to the Choson period. Embroidered in multicolored silks on blue figured silk with two cranes flying with a stalk of sacred fungus amidst clouds, above a taihu rock and waves. Bordered with gold wrapped thread. Glued on cardboard and mounted in antique wooden European frames. Condition: fine, slightly faded and few loose threads. Dimension: 24.8 cm x 23.1 (with frame), badges: approx. 22.5 cm x 21 cm.

A quite large pith paper album of fine quality with ten gouache paintings, made in Canton for the export in the 19th century. Showing different scenes of a procession with musicians, court officials and ladies etc. Each is lightly mounted on paper and bordered with a blue silk ribbon. An antique wood statue of the Boddhisattva Wei Tuo, the guardian of the Buddhist principles, dating to the late Qing dynasty. Carved in two parts with gilding and red color. He is standing on a rock imitating base, dressed as a warrior and holding the vajra staff. Condition: one hand with tiny losses, parts of scarf missing, top of helmet with a lost insert, vajra staff, one hand and back with glued patches. Dimension: total height: 38.5 cm, figure: 31.5 cm, weight: 1300 g.

Finely potted porcelain bowl, painted in pale famille rose enamels with fruiting and flowering gourd vines. The outside decorated with four "dragon and phoenix" medallions on a yellow ground. Small Indian Hindu bronze group cast in one piece depicting Vishnu seated in lalitasana with his consort Lakshmi, holding a lotus bud. Condition: fine, few traces of usage. Dimension: 11.1 cm high.

An insert table screen with carved wood lattice work. The round porcelain plaque with depiction of three immortals in a landscape painted in underglaze blue. The reverse is bearing a six character "Daoguang" seal mark. Maybe the plaque was once a dish and reduced. Condition: lattice work with few missing pieces and little glue residue. A gorgeous pair of tiny shoes with shaped heels and upturned toes for a Han Chinese lady with bound feet.
