ANDREW JOHN HENRY WAY 1826-1888; AMERICAN STILL LIFE OF GRAPES AND WINE; OIL ON CANVAS Signed :lower right; AJHW AJHW was born and died in the Washington DC area. He was primarily a still life painter although he did paint many portraits. He is especially known for his representation of GRAPES, especially of those grown in the US. He won many awards including the award for "Excellence in Still Life" at the Philadelphia Centennial. Dimensions; 13.25" x 8.75"; framed; 11.5" x 16".

EDMUND GREACEN-AMERICAN; 1876-1949 WINTER LANDSCAPE Oil on Canvas Signed and Dated: Lower Right Edmund Greacen 1939; Signed and Dated on Back EG was born in NY, traveled, studied and lived in Europe, and eventually settled in NY and Old Lyme Ct. He studied with Wm Merritt Chase, Robert Henri among others. Greacen is one of the founders of the Grand Central Art Studio in NY. A Thomas G. Hawkes Amber Cut Crystal Center Bowl or Compote. Dimensions; 9.5" in diameter x 4.25" high. Marked Hawkes and with the Trefoil (highlighted with magic marker in photo). Circa 1910 and in excellent condition.

An Interesting Victorian Staffordshire Porcelain Match Safe or Box; Handpainted Landscape Scene; Striker is Inside the Lid. Dimensions; 3" x 1.5"; mid/late 19th century. Excellent condition.

A Pair of Fine Tall Glass Hexagonal Candlesticks, with Twist Standards and Urn Nozzles. Dimensions; 9" high x 5" at base, weight 2.5 pounds. There is a small bubble in one(see picture) but otherwise in excellent condition. From the 1930's.

An Amber Glass Hand Blown Thumbprint Pitcher with an Applied Blue Handle. Dimensions; 9" high x 6.5" wide to handle. 1920's and in excellent condition.

A Turquoise Staffordshire Water or Milk Pitcher with Acanthus Scrolled Loop Handle and Oriental Design. Dimensions; 9" high x 5.5" wide, to handle. Circa 1880-1890 and in excellent condition

A Fine Pair of Mid-Victorian English Staffordshire Pitchers with Hand Painted Chinese Genre Scenes. Dimensions 8" high x 5" wide; circa 1850-1870. Very Good condition.

A Footed English Staffordshire Double-handled Compote dish with a Ribbon and Garland pattern; by Watford, 1860. Dimensions 11.5" long x 8.5" wide. Excellent condition.

A Victorian Oak Wood Tantalus, with three Bottles a Brass Frame and with a Working Lock and Key. Stamped "Mappin and Webb Oxford Street London". Circa 1880-1890. Dimension; 16.5" x 6" x 13" high to handle; total weight approximately 17.5 pounds; bottles approximately 4.4 pounds each. Slight chips on the base of stoppers and on edge of one bottle; Not noticeable. Also two of the brass corners at the base are split (see picture).

An English Victorian Syrup or Milk Jug with a Pewter Lid and a Molded Floral Pattern on Base; with a Registry Number for 1861. Dimensions; 6.5" high x 5" across. Excellent condition.

A Large English Syrup or Milk Jug with a Pewter Lid, Signed Atkin Brothers Sheffield. The Color is Deep Raspberry and There Are Classic Portrayals of a Chariot Driver on Each Side. Dimensions 9" high x 5" wide; circa 1880. Very Good condition (Note that there are reflections on the pictures).

A Pair of Bohemian Cased and Cut to Emerald Green Glass Overlay Vases or Urns, with Gilt. Dimensions 9" high x 4.5" wide at the base. Circa 1870-1900 and in excellent condition.

A Continental Cabinet Plate by Oscar Schlegelmilch factory in Langewiesen, Thuringia, Germany, circa 1890 (marked with a Royal Vienna style blue beehive mark) The plate decorated with a central image depicting Odysseus and Telemachos surrounded by gilt and additional color and gilt banding. Signed "K Radler". Dimension; 10.5in diameter. Excellent condition. See also 1306A (1049932).
