Cadoro Inc. NY was founded by Actor Steve Brody and Dan Staneskieu in 1945. The jewelry was custom designed, highly fashionable, had crafted using brushed gold and silver tone metals, rhinestones and glass crystals from all over the world, seed pearls and stones from the ocean depths. The stones were prong set like a set of dog's teeth that firmly griped the stones. The jewelry made included 3 dimensionals fish, animals and Russian inspired jewelry. Dan died in 1960s and the company ceased operations in 1970. Pieces by this company are extremely hard to find.

Cadoro pieces usually sell in the $250.00 - $300.00 range.

William de Lillo was born in Belgian, and worked for Tiffany and Harry Winston in NY before joining up with Robert F. Clark (former head designer for Miriam Haskell) to form the de Lillo creative team in 1967. Their costume jewelry is of the highest quality and ingenious design, using the finest Swarovski crystal stones and beads. De Lillo and Clark moved to France in 1976 where they created costume jewelry for Nina Ricci, Schiaparelli, and high society European grandes dames. They are concentrating more on sculpture in recent years and have settled in Arizona

This heron brooch is finished in heavy gold plated metal. The head and middle body are made of a colored textured thermoplastic. The wings are white enamel with clear crystal rhinestones. He has a green eye.

The item is 3" long by 1" wide. It is in excellent condition.

This pin was sold on a card marked Weiss. The pin is NOT signed anything. It is 2 1/2" by 1/2" deep. It is a 3-D pierced 14K brushed gold basket with 2 sprays of marquise hand set stones. Stunning!

Cadoro was found after WW2. Cadoro jewelry reflected the bold artistic acumen and strong influence of the worldwide travel of its partners, Dan Steneskieu and actor Steve Brody. The business continued for only a few years after Steneskieu's death in the mid- 1970s. Cadoro pieces are among the finest to be found today, each bearing the imprint of these ingenious gentlemen, who were determined to imbue their jewelry with imaginative designs and a " touch of class".

Toucans are the Brazilian symbol for the Amazon Forest where they reside. They are predators and hunters sand have astounding eye-site to see small prey through the dense leaf canopy of the jungle. The pin is 3" tall x 1 3/4" wide.

This dazzling gold-tone bracelet articulates beautifully around the wrist and will fit almost always sizes comfortably.

The snake’s rigid head and tail feature a realistic scaly finish with a fantastically tactile and dimensional texture. As you can see, this little snake sticks his forked tongue out slyly.

His eyes are decorated with brilliant green pear-shaped rhinestones; even his nostrils are adorned with red-tone cabochons.
