Antique Tibetan bronze figure of the Buddhist deity Kubera, lord of wealth, protector of the physical world. He lounges with piles of gold around him. In one hand he holds a mongoose, the enemy of the Naga (malevolent snake people and guardians to vast treasure), and a sweet morsel in his other. This form of Kubera is very well hand-cast with natural wear and patina.

Antique Japanese scroll painting of a horse, done in sumi ink, its legs kicked up into the air. Very disciplined calligraphy brush work is used, and may have been executed by a Zen Buddhist monk. This horse painting was possibly cut down from a larger screen and mounted as a scroll.

Antique pair of Thai male attendants (Nats), finely rendered out of teak wood, with polychrome traces of pigments. These funerary effigies would be kept close to an ancestral altar in order to help lead their spirits into the afterlife. Antique Korean scholar's low table. Its top pair of panels are book matched of persimmon wood, with a boxwood frame. The inner compartment still shows traces of ink; The opposite compartment would hold brushes. The drawer has a wonderful persimmon cover that continues to the order of the low table. The low writing implement table has an inverted key fret leg and internal low shelf of boxwood.

Antique Japanese carved Keyaki hardwood Raijin, God of lightning, thunder, and Storm. A protector deity for the Shinto religion. The surface of the grain is raised with the original red rimpa paint still intact. Typically these sculptures would be very fierce with demonic features. Which in this case, is contrary which makes it more benevolent, compassionate, and sympathetic in its appeal.

This superb helmet bowl is comprised of 64 iron plates that are slightly embossed between the suji, double front plates, and a washer underneath the top front riveted inside. The bowl has been given a very dark russet finish and fitted with a simple iron visor. The meadate is a forged iron hornet with gilt brass wings. The shikkoro of five - lames of false scale laced in blue silk and brown russet lacquer.
