From our European Porcelain Collection, a truly magnificent Vienna-style, iridescent-green ground, two-handled amphora-shaped vase, late 19th or possibly very early 20th century circa 1910, titled "Marguerite," depicting a very well-painted portrait of a beautiful woman holding a spray of marguerite daisies, the sides and reverse lavishly decorated in a brocade of gilt and adorned with enamel cabachons representing jewels...

This pair of porcelain vases was produced in Austria in the 1890s. They have a beehive marking painted over the glaze. They are 8 5/8 inches tall. The diameter at the widest point is 4 inches. The form of the vases has a classic, clean silhouette. But the tour de force is the jeweled decoration. Raised enamel beads or jewels imitating sapphires, opals, amethysts, and rainbow quartz accent and drape around each vase. There are garlands of tiny pink roses and tiny gilded rosettes...

This porcelain plate was produced in France by William Guerin Limoges in 1900. It has a diameter of 10 3/4 inches. The foot ring on the back of the plate is trimmed with gold. This is often an indication that the particular item was exclusive in its production. The plate has an under glaze green mark and an over glaze gold mark indicating that the porcelain and the decoration are both from the factory. In addition, there is an artist’s signature on the front of the plate...

Superbly enamelled coffee can with a water landscape and fisherman next to a ruined castle. C 1800, probably Belgian (Vieux Bruxelles). Height: 2 ½”/6,5 cm. Saucer, contemporary but not belonging, provided without extra cost (see last photo). Condition: handle professionally mended.

A pair of mid-19thC ornate Meissen style covered urns. This amazing and massive pair of mid-19th century French porcelain 19" covered mantle urns were made by M.S. Claus, France. They are fully hand painted and in the Meissen style, and both are extravagantly festooned with hand-formed and applied flowers and leaves. Each is topped with a similarly decorated lid, topped with a figure of a child...

Lovely Rococo bowls of lobed shape. A Sèvres model and Sèvres style decoration of rose heads and other flowers, and gilt sprigs. Painted and scratched mark Nid(erviller) in greyish black to both bowls, indicating a production date between 1793 and 1800. Diameter 8”/20 cm. Condition: some rubbing to the gilt decoration, a hairline to one bowl and a Y-shaped crack visible from the back (as seen on photo).

A fine matched pair of ceramic recumbent lions of molded construction having maize yellow ware enamel. The careful observer will note that the lions are not a mirror match, but they complement each other and were most likely produced this way. While the condition of the lions is less than pristine, having minor enamel losses and one minor chip as shown in the photos, we believe that serious collectors will appreciate the earliness and uniqueness of these ceramic lions...

A hard paste porcelain shallow bowl commonly used for salad with a dentil gilt rim and hand painted with bouquets and sprays of flowers. The simplicity of the painting is not an indication of poor work, there was at times a fashion for simple looking things; think of Marie Antoinette at her dairy at Versailles. This bowl is from the same period. 8 1/4 inch (21 cm) diameter.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Slight wear to the gilding...

This porcelain jewel casket was produced in France in the mid-19th century. The style is very similar to porcelain from the Sevres factory. It is unmarked therefore we cannot specifically identify the maker. There are artist’s initials in the painting. It measures 7 inches long, 4 1/4 inches high and 4 inches wide. The porcelain has molded decorations in the rococo style. The sides are blown out and puffy and the casket sits on four feet. The ground color of the casket is cobalt blue...

Nicely decorated with hand painted floral bouquets and sprigs on a hard paste porcelain a trembleuse cup, cover and saucer. The rims are dental gilt as are the fruit and leaves knop and two handles. No marks but French in form and decoration from around 1780...

Eggshell thin cup and saucer of lobed and fluted shape, ivory matt glaze to the exterior, twig handle and raised gilt leaf decoration. French, unsigned, around 1890, the design with a touch of Japonisme. Height of cup "2/ 5.3 cm, diameter of saucer "4 / 10.2 cm. Condition: fine.

This porcelain fruit bowl was produced in France by Tressemann & Vogt Limoges in the early 20th century. The porcelain bowl was sold white ware to a studio artist to decorate. It measures 9 1/2 inches in diameter and is 4 1/4 inches high. The rim of the bowl has a slightly scalloped rim with little crimps punctuating it. This pair of porcelain oyster plates was produced in France by Bawo & Dotter Limoges, sometimes called Elite Limoges, around 1900. They measure 8 1/2 inches in diameter. They have space for 5 shells and have a central salt dip. They are factory decorated with a transfer design. A ring of delicate pink roses encircle the border. The gracefully scrolled rim is accented with brushed gold. They are perfect for use or display. Condition: Excellent
