This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Helena Wolfsohn Dresden in the 1880s. The shape of the set is quatrefoil. It is decorated with alternating panels of flowers and landscape scenes with lovers in gardens. Ornate gilding trims the rims and separates the panels. An oversized plate (10 ½ inches (26.7 cm) diameter) with a hand painted bouquet of petunias in the center, surrounded by a thick gilt band and the elaborately molded lip with the molding picked out in gold. The printed blue KPM mark on the bottom was used during the years 1847 to 1849. There is also an incised Roman numeral four and possibly the number 14. It was probably used as a serving plate for pastry or cake.

Condition: no chips cracks hairlines or repairs...
