A wonderful and very desirable example of an 8-sided Lowestoft tea caddy, or canister. Painted with a flower bouquet and sprays beneath a border of flowerheads and foliate scrolls, the top having flowers and leaves.

The caddy is 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, and is in superb condition, with no cracks, chips, or restoration. The only tiny blemish of any type is a 3/16" long glaze split at the top of the rim, clearly occurring during manufacture...

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Maunfactory around 1770. The factory used only the under glaze blue scepter marking at that time. The saucer measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter and is 1 1/2 inches deep. The cup is 2 inches tall and 3 1/8 inches in diameter. This charming cup, decorated with a fence, flowers, and rocks, is painted in vibrant and clear red, green, pink and a splash of yellow. Finely potted, the somewhat elongated form has an incurving lower section and a scroll handle with a thumb rest. The condition is excellent, with no problems at all. An extremely rare and striking Derby chocolate cup and saucer of very unusual form. The bell-shaped cup has an undulating rim and a flat ear-shaped pierced handle. It is painted in famille verte enamels with leaves and flowers positioned in compartments bordered in an iron red. The saucer is decorated in a similar fashion.

As rare as the cup is, according to several sources the saucer is much more so, and has rarely been offered at auction...

A fine example of a coffee can made by the Seth Pennington Liverpool factory. The pattern, known as the "Scolding Woman" shows two polychrome Chinoiserie figures along with a large tree and rockwork.

The condition is superb, with no flaws and looking factory fresh. The height is 2 1/2" and the diameter is 2 1/4".

A fine and early English saucer showing a Chinese man with a bird. Done in blue and white, lot 303 of the Bonham's sale of the famous and important Watney collection showed this same pattern and identified it as being William Reid porcelain.

The saucer is in excellent condition and is 4 7/8" in diameter.

NOTE: William Reid & Co. were porcelain makers in Liverpool between 1756-61. Their factory was situated on Brownlow Hill where a bone-ash porcelain was produced.

A 13 3/8 inch (34 cm) diameter Dutch delft blue and white charger depicting a vase with a pedestal base in the center and an elaborate chinoiserie border on the outer lip. 18th century more likely earlier than later.

Condition; major chunk out of left edge replaced but discernable by discoloration of the paint over. Losses along the edge all around the dish.

An uncommon and fine Chaffers saucer and teabowl in the "Two Men on an Island" pattern. A workman's mark of three dots is on the reverse on the saucer.

This finely potted blue and while porcelain is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks, staining, or restoration. Any apparent paint losses in the photos are due to reflections. The saucer is 4 7/8" in diameter and the cup has a 2 3/4" diameter at the rim and is 1 1/2" tall.

An Oude Loosdrecht plate with a modest bouquet of hand painted flowers in the center of the well, sprigs of flowers here and there, a molded lip with the molding picked out in blue and a gilt edge. Marked on the bottom with the initials M.O.L. with a star and incised with a star, letters and numbers. 9 ¾ inches (24.8 cm) diameter.

Condition: the most serious damage is a visible chip on the rim. There is also a tiny one below the rim...
