Rich Green majolica plate by Wardle of England with leaf and grape pattern. Note the intentional crackling of the glaze in the large leaf. In excellent antique condition with some expected wear to the higher parts of the design and the edges. There is an old chip on the back (see last photo). The glaze is good throughout, any weird variations you might think you see are cause by my lighting. Plate measures 9 inches across. Dates 1880.

This porcelain dish was produced in England around 1825. There is a hand painted pattern number 1079 on the back with no other markings. It measures 9 1/2 inches across the handles, 8 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch deep. It has molded handles and is slightly concave in the middle. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. The hand painting is quite elaborate with floral cartouches in the corners, a wonderful basket of flowers in the center, and elaborate gilded embellishments...

A very rare set of (probably) English 9-7/8" plates in a variant of the original Blue Willow pattern. We haven't been able to accurately identify this pattern with its distinctive border butterflies in our books, however they are definitely Georgian. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Coalport in the 1890s. They measure 9 ¼ inches in diameter. The porcelain is molded with an ornate ruffled border. The center of each plate has a miniature landscape painting surrounded by a gilded cartouche. The border has scallops, frills, flowers and even a suggestion of coral. There are accents of gilding throughout. The plates are so representative of Victorian taste. They will display beautifully on a wall or in a breakfront....

A superb pair of true Arts and Crafts stoneware pottery matched ewers in a rich chocolate brown colour, c1880-1900. The upper shoulders or these 7-5/8" ewers or pitchers are in a glossy glaze, and the lower body has a naturalistic matte glaze over a stippled style textured surface topped with a decorative linked band of semicircles. The glaze didn't quite flow to cover the interiors of the hand made spouts and the bottoms are unglazed. They are unsigned, but look and feel like English stoneware ...

A superb quality 19th century hand painted German porcelain double spills vase c1860-80. This decorative mantle piece measures 7-3/4" wide and it stands 7-1/4" tall; it is in the form of a boy at the seashore with waves and two shells acting as the vases. The painting and detail are superb, from the finely painted face to the realistic sand and the painted flowers on the boy's pants.
