This porcelain covered vase was produced in Germany at Nymphenburg in the 1890s. It is 7 1/4 inches high. The shape is Asian in style. The decoration is beautifully hand painted with delicate vines of tiny flowers entwined around strands of ribbon. The colors are vivid and there are accents of gold in the design. Choice large faiance Tankard /Stein with German pewtermarks of a castle /towers and unreadable date, later 18th. century.

Fine tin glazed hand painted finish over a white glaze and it's painted with a leaping stag in a landscape with trees. It's pewter mounted hinged top has a reeded ball thumb-piece. And the base with a fine pewter mount as well. The pewter contemporay and original to bthe Stein.
